I know a blog post was just made about 1942, but as the producer on the title, I think I get to celebrate it’s launch.  I just checked and there it is, in all it’s glory in Marketplace.  Don’t forget, the PSN version is also launching tomorrow, so be on the look out. 

I have to say, as a fan of shmups (shoot em ups), 1942 turned out very nicely.  I love bullet hell type games, but 1942 was never one of those types of games and we really wanted to make sure that Joint Strike really felt like a 1942 game.  Don’t be mistaken though, this doesn’t mean that the game is easy by any measure. 

Shortly, we’ll be filling you in on some secrets of the game and clue you in on exactly how to get high scores.

When you guys get your hands on it, be sure to play online or offline with a friend.  The all new Joint Strike attacks are only available when you play co-op.  Before I go, I just want to leave you guys with a quick peak at level 4.  You’ll see some use of the “Clash Blast” joint strike attack, which makes a target between the 2 player planes and launches a bomb.  The location and power of the attack is determined by the position of the 2 planes.
