Gamespot Loves Neopets Puzzle Adventure

Nov 06, 2008 // Colin

Video game critics are a cynical bunch.  Traditionally, there are two types of games that the critics universally hate: “Licensed Games” and “Kid’s Games.”  So you can just imagine the initial reaction when we announced a “Licensed Kid’s Game” in the form of Neopets Puzzle Adventure.  Any derisive quote from Comic Book Guy would basically fit the bill.

However, then we revealed the ace up our sleeves.  The game we were making was done by Infinite Interactive, the creators of Puzzle Quest.  Suddenly, they got interested and wanted to preview the title.  A couple weeks ago, we delivered the latest DS build along with some delicious Burger King Kid’s Meals (Neopets version) and chocolate milk.

Apparently, the fast food bribe worked and the media reaction has been great.  Gamespot posted their preview today and to quote: “Neopets Puzzle Adventure is a tough game to put down once you get into it.”

See all you haters out there?  Never doubt Capcom, especially when we bring you chocolate milk.  🙂
