Dwarves! These old powerhouses are as reliable as they are compact, with high hit points, constitution, and strength. Wielding a hand ax and shield, a Dwarf will dish out the thrashings with high efficiency and minimal nonsense. And since he’s so sturdy, the Dwarf makes a fine choice for the D&D beginner. As an added bonus, Dwarves can bust up opened treasure chests to pillage even more money out of them.
