Maybe you've seen some of the Capcom art of DeviantArtist L-DAWB. It's incredible! He's creating a name for himself with his distinct style and "column of characters" format. Kind of like a rad take on the totem pole concept.
Can you name all them purty characters (full image after the jump)? I, for one, am glad to see a little GOD HAND representation!
Dawb has done a whole bunch of great Capcom art and even had some of it recently featured in the game Asura's Wrath, so head over to his DeviantArt page right now for a good time.
A few months ago, Deviantartist obsessedkitten shared her serious take on Ace Attorney's Maya Fey. Now she's updated her feed with a striking vision of Mia Fey - take a look!
If you like what you see (and I'm certain you do, because this is top-notch stuff), head over to her own page and let her know!
Here's some news I trust you shan't find. . . objectionable. Gahaha.
So yeah! The live-action Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney feature film, directed by exhaustingly prolific director Takashi Miike (Ichi the Killer, Audition, One Missed Call, The Happiness of the Katakuris), will be seeing a stateside and European release later this year, following up its run in Japanese theaters starting February 11th.
Those who have seen the trailer know that this movie looks to preserve the game's distinct blend of over-the-top dramatics, surrealist world view, and paranormal elements. It will also include the always-excellent, favored Miike star Ryo Ishibashi (Audition).
Additionally, Capcom Japan has announced a veritable trove of new swag items to celebrate the film's Japanese launch. Just look at this craziness.
So I coincidentally received two separate PMs from two separate users regarding two separate pieces of art for separate characters and by separate artists. They were both eerily serious renderings of typically cartoonish Capcom characters, so I've cram-a-lammed them into one bite-sized post!
Check it out:
First is this freaky-deaky rendition of Ace Attorney's Maya by deviantARTist obsessedkitten. Word on the street is, she's considering doing a whole Ace Attorney if there's enough popularity, so be sure to show your support on her deviantART page and in this post's comments.

Then we've got this here extreme Cut Man pic, made extra-cool by the fact that he's in the middle of a crossword puzzle on his arm-tablet. Rad! This pic was provided by deviantARTist Van-der-Dot
Thanks to Unity's own Will and Lando for the tip-offs.
You may recall from last week that Capcom was planning to open a Capcom-themed bar and restaurant in Shinjuku, Tokyo, featuring crazy menu items like Resident Evil-inspired "Brain Cake" and Monster Hunter's "Well-Done Steak". Well, that bar is now open for business! If you should find yourself in Tokyo, be sure to take the trip.
With their grand opening comes the launch of their official website, which you can check out here. The site details their entire menu, which ranges from exquisite to, uh. . . disturbing. But it's pretty clever all-in-all! Hit the jump for more crazy menu items of note.

You either get this or you don't.
Phoenix Wright Onion Rings
Phoenix questions the reliability of your sauces. Features croquette gavel.
Russian Roulette Takoyaki
Fried pasta emulates Phoenix Wright's spiky hairdo. Meanwhile one out of those eight octopus balls contains fiery hot habanero sauce.
Yukumo Village Pasta Carbonara with Hot Spring-Boiled Egg
'Cuz y'see, hard-boiled eggs are called "hot spring eggs" in Japanese. Dahaha.
Airu Village Poka Poka Mushroom Clam Chowder
Mushrooms gathered in Airu Village. Soup served "poka poka" (piping hot).
You may have heard recently that Capcom Japan has big plans to open up a new "Capcom Bar" on the first floor of the Pasela Resort in Shinjuku, Tokyo on January 25th. The bar, billed as an "entertainment bar," will feature demo kiosks for Capcom's latest titles, as well as a colorful, Capcom-themed menu for those looking to nosh in style. Pictured above is the Resident Evil-inspired "Brain Cake," which brings new meaning to the expression "food for thought." Aha.
Hit the jump for more Capcom culinary craziness.
Hey look, it's the meat from Monster Hunter. I can't help but wonder how they got it to look so perfectly cartoonish. Whatever the case, it's sure to do wonders for your stamina.
Nothing says Keiji Maeda (of Sengoku Basara) like a big ol' plate of octopus carpaccio. And hey, 680 yen? That's a pretty good price for this stuff!
Lay out the facts in black-and-white with this black-and-white seafood pasta inspired by the Ace Attorney games.
If you should find yourself in the Shinjuku area, be sure to stop by after January 25th and check it out!
Over the holidays, we asked Unity forum-goers of a variety of persuasions to submit their best holiday-themed art, poetry, and photography of baked goods. And you guys delivered! Have a look at some of the most notable submissions. Those selected here will receive a snazzy little badge for their excellent work.

This Guile-themed cake comes from the oven of our very own moderator, Will. I wonder if it tastes like Guile too. Actually scratch that, I don't wanna know.

Resident Evil
Unityman DarkSpyda04 has gone to great lengths (and legal risks?) to mod RE2's Mr. X Tyrant into a Mr. Xmas. Wow! Mr. Xmas appears around the 1:40 mark in the video.

Ace Attorney
Unity mod The Blue Badger has spruced up this classic Peanuts scene in a way that I trust none will find. . . objectionable. Kee-kee-kee-kee.
Do you now or have you ever liked a Capcom game? What about a Marvel comic book? If you said yes to either of those questions, you've got to check out this complete list of the Ability Cards that function as the backbone of Ultimate MvC3's Heroes & Heralds mode. Even if you don't play MvC, there's enough cool art and shout-outs to tickle the nostalgia bone is just about anyone...
Head here for the full list - it's so massively huge I had to post it in the forums! All 104 cards, complete with art and descriptions of their effects. I covered the details of the abilities (what the card rank, level designation and so on mean for you as a player) right here, so give that a look if you're interested in more info.
One thing I really love about this (other than the fact it's free) is how many of the card powers are representative of the character - Enchantress saps life from male characters, Daredevil can't see hyper combo bars, Mega Man lessens the time of charge moves... a very cool touch!
Heroes & Heralds is out Dec 19 as free DLC for Utlimate Marvel vs Capcom 3. More about its Online and Offline modes. And again, here's the thread with all the cards.
Now that we've outlined the Online and Offline modes for Heroes & Heralds - out December 19 in all territories as free DLC - it's time to take a look at the Ability Cards that power the whole thing. Today we'll examine three Ace Attorney themed cards, their effects and other details.
The A-B-C icons in the upper left corner of each card indicate its rank, with C designating common cards, B slightly less common and A fairly uncommon. Think of A-rank cards as the "rare" card in a collectible card game - they're potentially better than the rest, but are harder to come across while playing Heroes & Heralds mode. Then there are S-Rank cards, but we'll let you discover those on your own...
Two players meet with their decks of three cards each, Hero faction on the left and Heralds on the right
Before we jump into the card info, there's one other important aspect to discuss - Primary and Secondary effects. As you can see in the screen above, Juggernaut has a star hovering over his art. That means he's been set as the Primary card in the deck; every card has different abilities when in Primary or Secondary position, so if Servbot were made the Primary card instead of Jugs, their bonuses would change accordingly. Lots to consider for your deck, perhaps best explained with today's three examples!
GODOT (Trials and Tribulations, 2007)
Primary slot: Switch Hyper Combo gauges with your opponent upon activation of X-Factor
Secondary slot: When you have only one character remaining and their vitality is 50% or less, HC gauge will refill automatically [Lv 1]
Now, what's that [Lv 1] all about? Some abilities have various iterations, and are represented by level designations. The Godot card, for example, has a Level 1, or weakest, version of this HC gauge ability. This implies there's an Ability Card out there with a Level 2 and possibly Level 3, so keep an eye out.
MILES EDGEWORTH (Ace Attorney, 2005)
Primary: Gain a fixed amount of HC gauge upon activation of X-Factor [Lv 3]
Secondary: Gain a fixed amount of HC gauge upon activation of X-Factor [Lv 2]
With a B rank, Edgeworth is slightly tougher to come across, but the Level 3 benefit is clear. This is also a case of a card having the same ability that changes intensity based on where it rests on your deck. Primary is Level 3, while Secondary is Level 2.
FRANZISKA VON KARMA (Justice for All, 2006)
Primary: Attack strength increases as vitality decreases [Lv 3] Increases the duration of X-Factor [Lv 1]
Secondary: Gain super armor when the timer reaches 30 (Uses HC gauge upon hit) [Lv 1]
As an A-rank card, Fran will appear far less than the others. but with two boosts in the Primary slot, she's worth the effort. Seeing as you can earn cards in both the Online and Offline modes, it's easy to get into a "one more match" mindset, as the cards keep on coming - and any one of them could be an A card!
This is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Heroes & Heralds' Ability Cards. There are so many new abilities and powers, many of which are actually indicative of the character on the card. More on that tomorrow. Yes... *rubs hands together* ... so much more...
