    Annotated Olympics: 28% Less Boring!

I'm behind the curve on this whole Olympics thing, maybe cause I find it... inadequately digital? The superjumps are pretty tame, practically no fireballs, and the achievements are unimaginative, to say the least.

Anyway Lily pointed me at a few pictures that helped put the whole thing into my language:

    Go to E3 with Capcom!

    Monday, July 7, 2008, 07:55 PM [General]
    Posted By: s-kill

Gonna be in Los Angeles on Thursday, July 17th? Wanna come to E3, but don't have a pass?

At Capcom, no pass = no problem. We have pretty limited space, but we'd like to extend an offer to you--yes, actual humans--to stop by and check out our new stuff.

We're opening the doors on Thursday, July 17th, from 12pm - 1:30pm (after 1:30pm, we release the hounds).

If you just want to come by and hang out, send a note to CapcomContest with "E3" in the title.

As I mentioned, our booth is not big (though it's packed with goodness, including of course all our new games, and a mysterious Street Fighter IV rug!), so to get in, you MUST BE ON THE LIST!

If we don't reply to you saying "come on down!" then you aren't on the list, so don't just show up--we will have to bounce you with extreme prejudice :)

    Bay-Area Gamers: Capcom Wants You!

    Monday, June 30, 2008, 05:28 PM [General]
    Posted By: s-kill

We want YOU! ...if you're in the San Francisco Bay Area and are free on the afternoon of July 10th, 2008. Selected participants will be coming here, to the flimflamfabulous Capcom HQ, to test a secret new game we've got in development.

You play the secret game, then we ask you questions, and later there will be cookies! Sometimes there are not cookies, but there will definitely be PRIZES, showered on you by us.

    You must be:

-18 years old (or older), with valid ID

-interested in action, puzzle, and strategy games.

-in the SF Bay Area and free July 10th, from 1-5pm.

-able to travel to the aforementioned fabulous Capcom HQ on your own.

If you can jump those hurdles, send a message to CapcomContest here on Unity. Title the message "July 10th Focus Test" and give us your name, age, some examples of the games you like best, and a contact phone number.

**We unfortunately can't use anybody that's come to one of our earlier focus tests, so if you've helped us out before, give somebody else a chance!

    Best-Of Unity Roundup!

    Friday, June 20, 2008, 03:53 PM [General]
    Posted By: s-kill

As always, this is just the stuff coming across my radar, but there's already so much happening that I can barely keep up, so if you've got something hot, don't hesitate to drop me a line :) In no particular order, I present:

    1) New rap from Hanibal lamenting years of beatings from Ryu:

    2) Capcom VP and forum-hound Sven goes deep to answer the all-important fan question: "What does it take to get Game X remade/rereleased/sequel-ized?!?!"

Sven rules because he's a great example of the difference at Capcom Unity--where else are you going to find publisher's execs answering random questions from ordinary fans, and answering them WELL?

    3) Mr Jared drops in to show off the new Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix art he found on Deviant Art:

    4) And last but not least, LBD_Nytetrayn shows off his creation--a new and improved opening sequence for Mega Man X8!
