The future of Ace Attorney

It has been a few glorious years since I became a hardcore AA fan.  I've played through all of the previous games and am on the verge of beating AA: Apollo Justice.  I am lead to believe and I'd like to think that Phoenix Wright will earn his badge again at the end of this fourth chapter, if not in the future.  Point is, I've taken a liking to this spiky haired Apollo Justice as well.  Where does that leave the future of Ace Attorney?  Who will lead the defense in court?  Really, it's simple.

The various Ace Attorney games have brought new elements in gameplay, as well as a character line-up that you just can't help but fall in love with.  How do you improve upon a series that has such a solid foundation?  You build upon the existing one and create a gaming experience unlike ever before.

It would be amazing to see Phoenix and Apollo in the future Ace Attorney games.  Why as attorneys for the Wright & Co. Law Offices, you can alternate between Apollo and Phoenix between cases within the game.  Apollo could take the lead in the first case, Phoenix will take the second case.  Etc.

But an even bigger twist that will also let you play as other favorite characters would be for Capcom to also let you play as.... wait for it... the prosecution.  Why not?  You can use all the same level of passion and get a guilty verdict on someone who very well deserves it.

We've played as defense attorneys, sticking up for the innocent and in one case getting a guilty verdict for the client who deserved one.  Why not let us play as Miles Edgeworth, Franziska Von Karma, or even Klavier Gavin? Playing as a prosecutor for a case or two would be just as thrilling as it is to play as a defense attorney. Imagine a murder case where an innocent person is killed, imagine the passion you'd have to get that killer a guilty verdict.

I think it would let us as AA fans experience the series to the fullest this way and at the same time stay true to the roots of such an incredible series.  It's worth a try I believe, and I hope that this is where the future of Ace Attorney takes us.

And if you sat there and read all of this, you have my respect and gratitude. :)

Funny how this idea is actually turning into a game now.  Not that I am saying it was my idea, I just thought that this would be the perfect direction for the series to take.  And now look what Capcom is doing ^_____^

What about a spin off for the mystics, you could be pearl and maya, you have to channel murdered people to help figure out who killed them or something

or a spin off for ema, where you can do lots of forensic/scientific type stuff

How about a spin off staring Edgeworth and Gumshoe where you investigate crime scenes and have cameos by characters like Oldbag, Lotta, Ema, Bellboy, Cody, and others.

... oh wait.

I know about the prosecutor one, looking forward to it ^_^

that's why I thought about also having spin offs for the others. I think that would be good too. I would buy them anyway

You know, for teh next Apollo Justice game, I would like to see Apollo spin off more on his own, rather than be tied to Phoenix Wright and his legacy. I mean, it's cool that Phoenix is in Apollo Justice, but it gets to a point where it felt that Phoenix was forced in mainly as fan-service. Having cameos of past Phoenix Wright characters would only add to the forced nature of the story. I think creating a new memorable cast for Apollo Justice may bring new interest to the series. It worked for Star Trek the Next Generation...
