PS3 AoB Online Issues

I thought I was seeing things when I noticed how long people have had these problems.

There are many that have been waiting 4-5 months for a resolution to this, and still no word. Do what the rest of us are doing, request a refund from PSN and express your dissapointment in capcom, and the other clowns behind this half finished game.

Here's the reply I recieved from Sony:

------------------------------------------

Hello Nino,  We apologize for any inconvenience you are experiencing while trying to play PlayStation(R)Network content online.  Unfortunately, the issue you are experiencing may be related to your internet connection. It is possible that the game requires a bandwidth amount it is not receiving from you modem or router devices.  I would recommend that you try connecting to this game with your unit, from another location such as a friend or family members house.  Regards, XXXXX.

------------------------------------------

First, I find it very hard to believe that I can play games such as Resistance 2, LittleBigPlanet & NFS: Prostreet with no issues or lag whatsoever, but AoB requires too much bandwidth?  Hardly beliveable!

Second, WTF kind of resolution is "Try it at another location"?  I'm not playing the game there, i'm playing it at my house!

I am seriously PO'd right now at all parties involved with this game!  Forgetting the fact that I lost $10 and that I can't play the game online (which is the best way to play it), there is NO SUPPORT to resolve problems!

I agree with you Bigneen. That's a lame response.

I play Crash Commando, RE5, LBP and Noby Noby Boy online without any issues whatsoever. And Sony wants us to believe the fault is with our connection?

I messaged Capcom also on the matter after learning that they are in fact the correct party for issues with the PS3 version of AoB.  I did quickly get a reply and was promised a response here in the forums very soon.

I just wanted to share a part of the response I recieved from Capcom Admin:

"....I totally understand your frustration and I've done what I can to bring it up with urgency. With GDC this week a number of the folks that are needed to help you guys are committed to other tasks but THEY KNOW, trust me on that one...."

Okay, so GDC is basically THE event for game developers (like Capcom), so let's take a deep breath and bite our tounges for a week to give them an opportunity to look into the issues and post something in the forums next week.  Just like you guys, I cannot understand how the issues were overlooked (and for so long), but they are known right now, so I can wait a week or so for a great game that I'll play for years to come!

We'll all have to get a game in together when the issues are resolved!

My PSN-ID is the same as here, feel free to send me a friend invite.

Well, Capcom?  You've had plenty of time to get back from GDC.  What's the deal?  We need some resolution.

I just wanted to post here to get email updates on this issue.  I have never been so upset trying to get into an online game.  Never has there been a time where I would encounter such issues.  With the PS3, this is the only game I have had network issues with, I have 20 games.  Not only do I not have a issue with all other ps3 games, but I don't have issues with Wii games, or PC games.  If i am lucky, in a hour's time I might be able to play 2 matches, it seems that you are more compatible with some online people, but not others.  I suppose if you could find some friends that you can join up with often, you are in good shape.  I hope it does get fixed soon. ha ha

I'm sure glad someone at Capcom took the time to add the graphics behind the threads here, that was very helpful! (sarcasm)  We still can't play the game online, but the forums are prettier! [sigh]

The man I was in communication with has tried to help but is certainly not a tech, he just got caught in the middle.  Regardless, he has passed word on it it seems to have been ignored.  There's supposed to be a response from "Daryl" addressing the issues somewhere here, but I could not find it!  And, quite frankly I'm sick of exerting effort into this game.  It should have worked when it was released, we PS3 users had to wait an additional couple weeks "To assure that the PS3 users get the same experience as other platforms" (Anyone else remember hearing that?).  And here we are nearly 6 months later with a game that still cannot be played online by a decent percentage of it's users, and it sure seems to me (and many others here) that Capcom either doesn't care, or is not capable of fixing it!  And Sony?  They tell me it's my connection.... every single other game I have works quite well!

I don't know who is truly to blame, but I'm throwing in the towel and banning Capcom and Certain Affinity purchases.  At best, I'll start up AoB every now and then to check for updates, but until I'm able to play AoB online.... I'm done!

hiho from switzerland,

my english is bad but the Online-System @AoB is more bad Wink. 9 of 10 Games can not play (Host XY are out, long search, etc...) or one leave the Game then is GameOver too...Frown

I try the Trial-Game 'Flock', it's nice but im waiting for AoB online-bugfix....!

regards

For German Users...
