As a huge fan of user-generated content I really loved the map-editor provided with AoB. I tinkered around for quite some while until I was satisfied, only to find out that my map was not available for offline, local multiplayer games. Why is that so? |

You may not have noticed on the Choose Map screen that if you move the Left Stick it will switch tabs between My Maps, and Recent Maps. You will find your custom maps in My Maps. Recent maps are where user created maps you have played with online are stored until you save them out. Just to verify i played a local game with custom maps. Seems to be working. Let me know if you bump into a problem. ~tim |

thx for the reply, tim, but the problem persists...
I create a map and save it. Then I enter Multiplayer > Local. I set up teams and everything and select Choose Map. I pick my custom map from My Maps as usual. Now, when I push A to select it, I get the following message:
"BLOCKED Private games on Xbox LIVE may include player created content. You are signed in with a gamer profile which is not allowed to receive player created content, so you cannot enter this session."
The problem seems to be that I "only" have a silver account since I do not usually play online. But why do I need to have a gold account in order to play my custom map in a local offline game?
Ah yes, and I also have to exit the game completely after that and restart it in order to be able to play any other maps locally, since I always get the same message again as soon as I so much as select the Multiplayer entry in the main menu. |
