Major disapointment. First I wondered why the game was running in a window, so I tried to change the resolution. The options here were lack-luster to say the least, none of the various resolutions fit my screen very well. The option that would work the best, 1280x720, was grayed out for whatever reason.

So selected a resolution that made by screen look slightly weird but whatever, on to the game. By now I was wondering why the 360 controller was not working in the menus, so went through the control options. Nothing there concerning gamepads... started up a singleplayer challenge and nope, gamepad just does not work. That seems pretty dumb if you ask me since the game is clearly designed to be played with a gamepad.

Completed a few of the challenges. Went on to try multiplayer, opened the multiplayer menu and to no suprise there was no splitscreen option (how would there be with no gamepad support *sigh*). Started the gamespy option and logged in, all that good stuff. Started a game and it said "looking for players"... 10 seconds later I'm back to the main menu with an error about my network. I have no firewall running other than the router, don't tell me I have to open ports or something to get it working. That's asking way too much just play the basic multiplayer and should not be necessary.

Seriously... This game is just the thing I like but the PC version is worthless. What on earth where the developers thinking putting this out?

Sorry, that's exactly the case.  The router will cause you to be unable to connect to other games.  :(
