Hey all, hopefully someone can help with this problem.

I bought Age of Booty on Steam a couple of days ago and so far have been unable to play it.

Registration process was successful, but when I try to start a game a window appears in the top left corner of the screen then crashes with the above error.

Details from Event Viewer: Faulting application Age of Booty.exe, version 0.0.0.0, time stamp 0x49ad9557, faulting module Age of Booty.exe, version 0.0.0.0, time stamp 0x49ad9557, exception code 0xc0000409, fault offset 0x0018f933, process id 0x1914, application start time 0x01c9a3123e84d01f.

Running Vista 32 SP1 - Admin account with UAC and DEP disabled.


Intel Core 2 Duo E6400, 2133 MHz (8 x 267)


GPU HD4850 - Catalyst version 9.2 (tried with 9.1 and 8.6)


RAM 3096MB


DirectX and soundcard drivers are the latest versions.


 


Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Posted with this issue 2 months ago now with no meaningful answer. I want to know if there is a fix or have I just thrown my cash at an uncaring corporate company?
