OK, in this case i can definitely confirm some bad news. This is a leaked build. You can tell because we had a bug (now fixed) that would happen at 2 minute warning, 1 minute warning, and 30 second warning. Essentially a sound cue ("Time is running out!") would randomly use too much memory and crash. Sadly, you have a bad build. We have a patch we are expediting now to address this. But i will recommend you talk to Capcom Customer Support. i will send them this thread when i am done. ~tim |

We are looking into getting this resolved and will have a solution soon. I am sorry to say that we don't have an exact date yet but keep an eye on the Age of Booty forum section for any updates. ![]() Randy Reyes Capcom Support & Part Time Agent of Order |

I do have to wonder what the point of the extended wait for Australia/Europe to get these games is, if mistakes like this still slip through. |

What is happening? It's been several weeks since this was noticed and promised to be fixed long ago. AOB is a great game and extremely fun at some times but with all the lookups an the long waiting in the lobby it is soon lost and forgotten on the PS3! It would be good to see some official comment regarding this issue! |

Hi all! I also think it's a shame that the game has not been patched yet. I bought it in Dec. (Europe version on PSN) and cannot finish the campaings because of the lockups. It freezes my PS3 completely!! In my opinion it often happens when there is a lot going on on the map (many ships, bombs, explosions, a lot of movement) I really like this game and I'd play it a lot if it would just work. When can we expect a patch? If there is someone out there from Capcom marketing: How do you think the initially successful game will be distributed if it doesn't work? By word of mouth? looking forward to a playable AoB Mathias

It's a shame that you are not able to finish the Challenges but what is worse IMO is that the game is now almost unplayable online (where the game gets really fun!).
Yesterday I tried to play online at about 20:00 CET (good gaming time in Europe) - we where exactly three (3) players online waiting for about 15-20 minutes for a fourth player to join so we could play some matches. I usually play RTS on PC and if I want a quick game in Red Alert 2 (two) which is a eight year old game I still do not need to wait more than 30 seconds to find an opponent. How many new AoB players do you believe will wait 15 minutes for an online match? I know how fun it is once you get the game going and had a good book to read while I waited but for the casual gamers they will never try AoB again after finishing the few Challenges (if the PS3 doesn't crash on them before). |

It sure is annoying, and I completely agree with the post above. I really hope that AoB is the first game that both PS3 and Xbox 360 users can play together online. That's the only way there will ever be enough people to keep matching times down. Can't be that hard, surely :) |

Thirdparty: It seems unlikely they will get PS3 - XBOX360 online play working when they have trouble fixing the PS3 - PS3 online part. :( It would have been great to beat some XBOX fanboys though ;) I think they need to do something dramatic to turn this from going straight into the "lost and forgotten games"-chest on the bottom of the ocean (right beside Davy Jones Locker). Maybe offer it for a seriusly discounted price some weeks after the release a working version of the game. |

Yiiihaaaaa!!! The patch is finally out.... but wait, it does not fix the game, it BREAKS it! I was so glad to see version 1.01 update screen when I started AoB today. After a download of 44MB (same size as original game) the game tried to started automatically but instead an error message was displayed: "The copyright protection information is invalid (80052913)". I then deleted the game (and regestration key), went into PS Store but could not find the game even though I used "All Games" and sorted alphabetically. I then sent to my download list and re-downloaded the trial version, installed patched to version 1.01, and then re-downloaded and installed the regestration key. Still the same error! Is this some kind of bad pirate joke? (Coypright protection is meant to keep pirates away) So, I've paid for a game which I during the last month has not been able to utilize fully but been promised that it should be fixed quickly. And now I have a game which will not start at all! Refund?

The patch has killed my version of the game as well, with the same error as Rickard. |

Give us at least a schedule!
