The XMB thing is random.  Maybe once in 30 times you press it.  The same thing has happened to me in PSN Home.

It's great that this patch has made the game stable enough to complete the challenges, and online play is much better. I have still has a few hard lock ups, many disconnections mid-game and lots of games that start with three players all on the same team. Can't wait for the patch in Feb.

Meh, AoB is now a horrible memory as far as I'm concerned.  I bought Crash Commando and while it's far from perfect (the sniper rifle is waaaay over powered), the online actually works!!  So anyone out there with CC, my PSN is RabiesBaby, I'll be the one getting cheap kills off of you with mines.

Cheers!

I am also thinking of gettin Crash Commando to play online instead of AoB.

I guess Capcom Bionic Commando: Rearmed could have competed with CC if they would have added a online component to that game - but after the online difficulties with both Street Fighter II and Age of Booty I guess it was a good choice of Capcom to not add it.

Please get your online game together good folks at Capcom so we can enjoy your games with our remote friends.

And don't blame Sony Europe for not releasing you buggy games - it is their responsibility as Quality Assurance to not release games with buggy codes! I think Capcom (NOT Sony) should reimburse all people who have bought the European version of Age of Booty! ! !

Unfortunately it was Sony's inadvertent release of the trial in development that should not have been released that is affecting everyone who plays the game. We tried patching the issue but again Sony mis-distributed the initial patch we released for it. Every since we were aware of all of this we have been working non-stop to fix it. That is time and resources that we could have been using on other things. We want everyone to be able to play this game, I mean it is fun game!

Understand that the game was rigorously tested not just by us but by Sony as well. There is also an approval process that the game must go through before it got released. As you said it is Sony's responsibility to make sure that game with buggy codes don't get released.

So with all that said, if you want a refund I suggest you contact Sony as it is within their power to do so.

The game still freezes my PS3 10 times a night.

1. I bought the game on 1/18/2009

2. I play in North America

3. No, I did not download the trial version.

Bonus: I have my PS3 on a wireless network using a Netgear 108 Mbps Wireless Firewall Router WGT624 v3. I think it is in a DMZ, which I set up a long time ago to get my mic working on socom 3.

The game mainly freezes while searching for other players in Public Game mode.  Private rooms are more stable.

Messaging people with the XMB, or sending game invites both catalyze the freezing process.

When a public match finally tries to start, only 25% of the time does it successfully start with everyone from the lobby making it into the game.  The other 75% of the time some or all of the players are kicked back out into search mode for more players, or their systems freeze.

I get NO freezes once a game starts; on one player or multi-player.

I am booted in the middle of an online match about 10% of the time.

Please don't spend your time on a trophy patch.  FIX the game first pleeeeeeeeeeeeease.  We really don't care about trophies on a game that freezes 10 times a night.
