I get a lot of PMs both here and on youtube about making private quests. The process behind them and requests. I have to sum it all up for you.

Common questions:
Q. What do I need to make them?
A. Custom Firmware , Laboko, Patience.

Q. Is modifying your PSP legal?
A. Yes. This is one misconception that pisses me off about ALL gamers. It's not illegal to modify ANYTHING you've purchased. However, people often modify things for less than legal reasons. This is where people get crossed-up.

Examples: Legal to install mod chips on a PS2. Illegal to burn games to DVDs so you can play them.

PSP: Legal to install CFW+Loboko+RIP MHF2/P2G. Illegal to download MHP2/MHP2G without paying for them.

Q. What's custom firmware?
A. Custom Firmware is firmware that isn't the official make by Sony. It allows you to do various (and often crazy) things with your PSP. Examples include: Ripping a UMD that you own to a memory stick, using a video capturing program to play games on your computer screen.

Q. Cool. So what's Loboko?
A. Loboko's a program used to edit quests and/or convert a Monster Hunter Freedom 2 file into a Monster Hunter Portable 2 file.

Q. AWESOME! How do I get this stuff?
A. Google. I'm not supplying or even remotely getting in trouble as I don't know YOUR intentions. I know what mine are.

Q. Well, could you make quests for me?
A. Short Answer: No.
A2. Long Answer: It takes time to convert the files, make the quests and then make sure I don't currupt the data on my memory stick. Then I have to test the quest to make sure it loads. Then I have to make sure you don't get broken rewards. The whole thing is a hassle and frankly I don't like doing it.

I know. It sounds "selfish", but if you have Xlink kai and want to join in on my quests, AIM me or PM me. I'd be more than happy to host them so long as you're HR 6 as that's the lock I have on them.

Further more, I'm trying to get my quest editor back myself. I've lost it in a re-install of windows XP. I know. It sucks. But even if I had the program back, I'd have to turn your requests away. I'm sorry.

Q. Can you convert my character to MHP2/MHF2 for me?
A. Short Answer: Yes.
A2. Long Answer: If I can get loboko to work again.

Q. What kinds of quests can you make?
A. If you can dream it, I can almost make it. Anything that causes "music clash" crashes. Almost anything thrown in Fatalis' Pad crashes. Certain monsters stand there like little tards if they're unable to do special things (like Akantor). The list goes on.

Q. When are you on Kai?
A. Almost never. I only jump on when people ask me to.

Q. Kai handle?
A. Akubarix. Just like it is everywhere else.

Q. AIM?
A. The one exeception. LRNEternal. Tell me who you are or it's an auto-block.

Q. MSN?
A. I don't give this one out to many people. Too much of a cluster ****. I had to throw away my last account because of it. Use AIM or the PM system here.

Q. I heard you play MHP2G. Do you use the Patch? Is it illegal?
A. Yes. I play P2G, sometimes with the patch. It's NOT illegal if you're ripping your own UMD. It is if you're downloading it off of the internet. Nor can a certain mod legally ban you unless you're talking about downloading the game.

Q. So you really won't make a quest for me?
A. If you want them THAT badly, donate a few bucks to my paypal. Then we'll talk >=3. I think $2 a quest is more than reasonable. Don't you? X3 [I'm kidding... Or AM I!?]

My buddy Nismo303 sent me a capture card the other day. Granted, it was a $130 capture card (he had two, gave me one).

With that, any consoles that run the RWY connections can be recorded in clear video.
(example: www.youtube.com/watch?v=B...) As opposed to how it USED to look (www.youtube.com/watch?v=5...).
