Title says it all.
Resident Evil 5 managed to almost perfect the formula that RE4 introduced in 2005. The formula that ended revitalizing the Resident Evil franchise and pushing it once again into a more mainstream crowd. Something that had not happened since 1998 with the uber hit that was RE2.
Sure, RE5 didn't get the excellent scores that RE4 got in its day. And maybe it will not win as many awards as that game. But the fact remains that RE5 did a kickass job at creating an intense gaming experience while still maintaining it's RE roots. An action game that provides a lot of moments of panic and fear (more so if you play the game alone and not on Co-Op). RE5 pulled it off.
This obviously creates a big problemo for Jun Takeuchi. Since there is little doubts that RE5 will be a huge hit. And Takeuchi already plans to reboot the series with Resident Evil 6.
So... will he follow the winning formula that RE4 created and that RE5 perfected? Or will he start the whole thing from zero and take the franchise into another direction?
I guess in due time we will know...
Move over RE4... RE5 is the new action-oriented RE king!

Hey there... one question: how do you know so much about the sales figures of every Resident Evil game out there??
-Evil Shady-I own a site here in Brazil, and that's something we always have to answer and, most of the times, don't really know for sure how many copies a game sold besides the one listed on Capcom Japan....
Is there any source for it or you just use your Jedi powers and figure it out?? =P
