I just got out of a 2nd screening of this movie and I must say it's one of the best sci-fi films I've seen in the last 10 years. I went in only having seen the first teaser trailer where they interview an alien and I honestly had no idea where to set my expectations. Everything about this movie blew me away from the original story, pacing and blending of CGI. Neil was first tasked to bring the Halo movie to life and if he's asked to do any kind of video game adaptation, I say drop Halo and make a Half-Life movie instead. The last time I left a movie theatre buzzed like this was after seeing The Dark Knight!
Don't worry about looking for anything after the credits. Nothing happens.

Northwest Majors

The 2nd annual Northwest Majors will be taking place this month in Tacoma, WA on August 22nd. This will be my first console tournament for SF4 and for the last few weeks I've been training hard at local gatherings and have been improving many things such as having more control on the ground and making less mistakes jumping in against characters who have strong anti-air. I'm looking forward to matching with many top locals at Preppy's house this Friday to be better prepared. I may also register for HDR and BlazBlue for fun. I wonder how many pad players will show up...
