As Snow mentioned in an earlier blog, the PSN version of Age of Booty now has Trophy Support, and this is for both North American and European territories.  Just launch the game on your PS3 and the trophy patch applies itself.

We’re not stopping with trophy support.  There’s more booty where that came from. The PSN Trial also released today in North America and releases in one week, March 12^th, in Europe.  To you PSN users who have not yet given Age of Booty a try, the trial is free - you no longer have an excuse!

Oh, and this is the REAL trial; the official one; the one we designed for you to play.  An unauthorized version accidentally released in Europe back in November when the full version went live and it caused a lot of problems for everyone.  All players worldwide were affected as the trial allows for multiplayer matchmaking.  The trial released today (and next week in Europe) works the way it is supposed to.

But wait, there's even more...  The PC version releases tomorrow.  You'll see it first on Steam, Direct2Drive, and Digital River/Capcom Store and others as quickly as we can, hopefully getting them all this month.  The PC Demo will likely arrive next week on all those same sites.

Last and certainly not least, let's not forget about NXE Avatar Support.  Msft has the build in test right now.  We passed the tougher of the two tests.  We should pass the other and receive Msft approval any day now, at which point we can immediately push it live to you (via free Title Update) any day now.

PS – Additional Map Packs will appear weekly on PSN again later this month.

Age of Booty for PC has recently ended the Open Beta.  We are now working on the installer and variations for our eDistribution partners.  Things are coming along nicely, and pieces are in place for us to distribute Age of Booty on Steam, Direct2Drive, and Digital River.   

Thanks for all your help on the Beta.  We will give an update again, as soon as our helper monkey puts down the weapons and gets back to the keyboard where we need him.

Thank you all for participating in the Age of Booty PC Beta.  We have learned a lot from the experience and thank all of you for participating. 

With the PC build very close to being final we are now targeting release of the final PC version in the begining of February.  I'd like to toss out a firm date, but i need to check with my team regarding what is announced so far.  I promised i would tell this community first, before anywhere else, so you have the inside scoop.  I'll get you a firm street date shortly.

So, by the time you read this the GameSpy keys will have expired.  Don't sweat it.  We will have the full version available in just a couple weeks.  Stay tuned, and thanks a ton from the Age of Booty team.

Hello there Age of Booty PC Beta Testers.

We have been hard at work getting the PC version closer to a final release quality.  We are in a home stretch.  Because of this we will not be releasing anymore public Beta builds.  V.133 was the last one.

Until we announce a release date please feel free to keep playing, but stay tuned.  So you know, once we have our release date, we will then close the Beta, turn off all the Beta keys, and lock up this thread and forums.   Not there yet, but hopefully soon.

We are now focusing all our efforts on finishing up.  Once we have a final build approved by all parties we will announce that release date here (in this forum) so all you can know the scoop.  We will also mention where you can buy it.  Of course, you can always go to the Capcom Store.  :-)   

Lastly, and Most Importantly, we want to thank you all for the QA help!  Seriously, good job! We truly appreciate the great testing, and reporting of issues. From everyone at Capcom, and the Age of Booty Team, thanks!

So we are proud to say Capcom has had it's revenge on NooBTooB.  Their claim to Age of Booty domination is over.

NooBTooB came back into the Capcom house for a rematch on Age of Booty.  It was a piratey battle of honor, revenge, grudgematch, or some such madness.  They came, they played against us, and they recorded it for their pod cast. (Click the image to jump to it - we start at 42 minutes.  Yarrr!)

The glowing reviews of Age of Booty was expected, but these gamers also had a good time.  We got to play with some of their community, they played the Dev's in a glorious clash of piratey action.  And they enjoyed our massage chairs.  Not surprising.  We have so many cool things at Capcom to share.
