Hey last night I tried installing the beta onto my wife's laptop and it kept crashing (a bit common it seems).... sooo I started snooping around the files to see if I couldn't fix it.... (btw You may want to look into the codex being the culprit. I'll try verifying it tonight.) While I was snooping I noticed all of it seem preaty simple to mod with standard .txt files, direct X models, and .dds textures (can't view the .map file :/ but I know the map editor will more than make up for that). My main question is, will you be packaging the final program or will you leave it open like the beta is currently so that it can be modded? I have visions of old warships in my head :P I'm planning on picking up the 360 version but would concider the PC version if multiple accounts and modding were allowed. I've never modded anything before, but a game like this makes a full overhaul seem plausable. This was just a quick test to see what tweeking the model would do. |

I'm pretty sure we're going to leave it open to modding. We'd love to see what sort of creative things the community can come up with. Nice work on the ship, btw! |

That's great news! Now, I just have to get a beefier computer AND a new 360 since mine decided to RROD over the weekend. |

I'm one game crash short of begging with muffins for the fix to be found. Got the initial e-mail when I filed the bug report but nothing since. le sigh
As for modding...hehe, i've got some wicked thoughts about flags. |

Oh and updating the codec thing didn't work for me so it is something less trivial than that.
