General]
So I have been thinking about this for quite a long time now and I might as well write about it.
The world has taken a turn that I find strange and at times html_removed
html_removed
ridiculous, whenever any sort of media shows anyone who uses profanity or other words considered "rude" even common words such as "****" or "****" they find it necessary to cut that out.
I don't know how It is for everyone but at least I can speak for myself when I say that I encounter these words multiple times per day through converstations or overhearing people talk.
Are these words really causing any damage?
This leads me to my second point in this discussion, which is violence.
People, young and old get exposed to A LOT of violence on a daily bases yet the censorship around this seems more loose.
The "News" have NO problem at all to show mutliated children and adults whenever they want, because It must be extremely difficult to believe something without pictures, right? Does the audience really want to see this? Is this really necessary to make people understand that the world is not full of rainbows and kittens?
Same goes for games, music and movies. I know, these are getting censored from left to right and that really is a problem.
If someone creates something It should be left alone, It is not harming another human being and the option to avoid violent movies for example is always present.
Another curious thing is how Capcom (That's right!) could use a large picture showing a man getting decapitated by a chainsaw (RE4) but the word "****" would upset too many people?
People getting KILLED is no longer considered offensive? Is anyone else seeing this or experienceing this at all?
Please comment and share your thoughts about this
I have to admit that that was the first time I'd ever seen them live, and they were pretty damned good. :)
