Hallo Sven, nice that you are here. Could you tell us now, what engine Dead-Rising Wii is using actually. I was sure that it works with uns adjusted Framework-model, but the press release seems to confirm the classic Residen-Evil 4-Engine.
Could you clarify that for us? Thanks in advance. |

Also I don't really understand the reasoning behind taking out the camera mode? I have this game on 360 and it enters a first person pokemon snap style mode. Why can't you just do the same on Wii? Have you played Medal of Honor Heroes 2 on wii? That game has a really great sniper mode where you zoom by rotating the wrist. Methinks it's something you guys should rip... I mean pay tribute to. |

Oh, and of course the biggest question of them all: why Dead Rising? |

Interesting that it's not a port and well done on the effort if true. However... making something like this from the ground up? Doesn't it make more sense to create a new game rather than trying to emulate a game on a more powerful system in the style of a port with changed control? The famitsu article said that this was being made by the team that ported RE4 to wii. I just don't understand the reasoning here? Why not just make Dead Rising: New title and make it a new wii game and then you really can make it from the ground up in terms of control and visuals? |

Oh no.. so the jeep guys are back? So back to the zombie question I have seen the screens, so I counted roughly 30-32 on screen. What will this mean for AI? The famitsu article said something about having the enemies swarm around you more or "masking" the player view which was why the RE4 camera was helpful. So in the original you had to be quite close to a zombie for its zombie AI to kick in. Will it now be more like RE4 where they would spot you and run over to you? Will there be Wii Bowling style mechanics for that item? Will your motions be accurately represented like Force Unleashed or just random waggle as in Twilight Princess? Let's talk chainsaws, this game would be unbelievably cool if you could tilt the wii remote about to use the chainsaw and I don't just mean waggle to initiate a standard attack. I want zombie slaughter. Is this happening? Thanks for the feedback. |

Love the subtitle and thought it was a great tagline on the back of the 360 box. Can't wait for this. I don't understand why people who played the 360 version want a faithful Wii port. Just replay the 360 version in that case. Much much cooler that it's a cross between Dead Rising and RE 4 and it's going to play significantly different.

At first I hated the title, but its definitely growing on me.
Definitely looks like its not fair to call it a port. Very excited at this development.
One question Sven- I realize its unlikely you can confirm any sort of release date, but can you at least say if you're hoping to get this out in time for the holiday's? Right now the release date says Winter, but I'd love to get my hands on it as soon as possible1 |

I rolled my eyes at the title... until I remembered this takes place in a shopping mall. Now I absolutely love it. I mean, come on, this is hardly the most serious game there is out there... the most publicized shot involves West running around in boxer shorts with a Servbot head. It's perfect. --LBD "Nytetrayn" |

I spent like half an hour karate kicking them to death while their jeep was stuck on a tree only to have them show up again the next day.
