like it was said in the first post in this page, don't use drm in Steam. it's basically impossible to pirate Steam versions of games. Steam is a Gateway for people who doesn't want drm (like me) this is why it's so popular. and don't judge sales by retail sales in US stores. pc games sells much more worldwide and Steam got like 17 million subscribers (Valve say so) even if only 1% of them buy the game thigs will change significently.

Well ain't this a pickle! I was sitting here, waiting for the Steam version to be announced so I could buy that. Australians love Steam BTW. Less pain on the wallet, since we get to pay the same price as US gamers, not double the price. Plus, it has its own DRM, so there's no BS compatibility issues with SecuROM, which has caused some trouble on my PC. But upon hearing this, I guess I have to pony up and buy a retail copy from somewhere, just to prove to you that it's worth your effort. |

I bought the retail version of DMC4 and really enjoyed it much more than the 360 version. I think the main problem with the PC releases is that they come out so much later than their console counterparts, so that hurts sales overall. Also reading some reviews have a bias against the PC(1up's review was abysmal).
I'd just like Capcom to not give up. As long as they keep giving me games on the PC, I'll buy them as my rig really outshines the litle consoles. I plan on purchasing both Bionic Commandos and I'm desperately waiting for SFIV. I just wish SSF2T:HD Remix were coming to PC as I the controllers for 360 are horrid. You bring me HD Remix to PC, I'll sell my 360 tomorrow. Guarentee...

@Sven :-
Can you tell me if Capcom has any plans for selling their games to India?. I want to buy Street Fighter 4 and DMC 4 but it has not come to India. |

Quit whining. Who the hell wants to ruin their mouse by playing this game? Not to mention it'd be a waste of battery power for cordless versions. Losing points for lack of mouse support was one of the biggest loads of crap in some of those reviews and many see that. |

First of all, I agree with everyone here who says it's a great game. I bought it for the PC and I have enjoyed it immensely. The graphics are really slick and the controls are great. However, the way you set up your controls stinks of lazyness to me. I am really curious and since we have an insider answering in this thread I would really like to know, is it hard to change the graphics for how the controls are represented in the game? Having to assign my logitech gamepad to an XBOX360-controller really doesn't make much sense to me. I ended up having to write down my assignments to be able to change the right stuff in the controller menu in the game. All of this hassle really gave me a first bad impression of the game and got me thinking that I had another drab lazy port on my hands but once I got playing all those fears went out the window since the game really is great. However I really think that some time could have been spent changing the controller menus to represent PC controllers, I'm guessing that the PS3 version doesn't ask you to map your PS3 controller to an XBOX controller. So as I said before, I'm really curious about if these changes are harder to make than you might think since from the outside it seems like "simple" changes that for some reason aren't being made. Oh and btw, rumble does not work with the logitech cordless rumblepad 2
Kindly, Marcus. |

, I know that's a technical issue but those kind of things really should work out of the box.
