Capcom vs. SNK 3 would be nice just don't over do it because I was confused with the options they before you pick a character. Don't forget to add good music and fun stages. How about Marvel vs. Capcom vs. SNK vs. darkstalkers vs. Sega.

How about Marvel vs. Capcom vs. SNK vs. darkstalkers vs. Sega.

That's never going to happen. The more companies involved the less likely it is to happen because all the companies need to agree upon terms of who gets what percentage of the money that the game makes, and that's why you only see VS games between two companies and even then it problematic.

Also Darkstalkers is a Capcom product, so there's no reason to seperate it out in the example you provided. For instance Darkstalkers characters have been in Capcom Vs games before but Darkstalkers is never part of the title because it's a Capcom property.

Although there is actually a chance to see Capcom vs. Marvel & Tatsunoko because Marvel and Tatsunoko seems to have a licensing agreement with each other. The chances are slim but since Marvel and Tatsunoko already has some licensing agreements together then the only thing left to be done is for Capcom to have the license to use Marvel characters again.

I'm still hoping for a possibility for Street Fighter vs. The King of Fighters though or at least Capcom vs. SNK 3. This is the year where fighting games rise up as the best genre! Soulcalibur IV and Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe from 2008 was just a sample from what is to come and Street Fighter IV started the success in early 2009. The King of Fighters XII and Tekken 6 will follow up soon and hopefully we will have some more fighting games coming up, maybe a new Guilty Gear game or a new Virtua Fighter game! Because of the success that fighting games are having right now, it is the perfect opportunity for Capcom and SNK to have more fighting game fans by making another cross-over game!

If enough support is made and if this game makes enough profit, then we might be able to get a new Darkstalkers sequel in the style of Street Fighter IV or even better!!!

They is also dissidia final fantasy that you forget.

But they is some wrong part, tatsunoko and marvel deal is about a anime series, that doesn`t mean they will be a game featuring the 3 compagny together.Plus,it would be stuck in japan like tvc because of tatsunoko right issues. And i dont think marvel would like that.

That's the difference so that's why I understand and agree with Ono when he said that they feel they've taken sprites as far as they can go.

I disagree with Ono, since he isn't taking into account hi-definition sprite animation. Frame count-wise I agree, but why couldn't Capcom produce the same level of animation we have in SFIII: Third Strike, but in hi-def, or at least as hi-end as the new KOF game?? They could take that game's sprites frame by frame and trace over them in a higher definition, no doubt blowing everyone away, including SNK's work.

Perhaps they should test this on a 2D versus fighting game with less sprite counts, like Marvel vs Capcom 2 first. Imagine THAT game in hi-definition!! Money mouth

I just really want Capcom vs. SNK 3 to happen because I would really want to play as Kyo and Terry in C-Groove or better yet in Street Fighter IV Groove... Kyo, Terry, and Akuma in C-Groove was my team...

It is a great way for Capcom to get some fighting game fans from SNK and for SNK to get some fighting game fans from Capcom... It is also a great way for players from both sides to compete against each other...

I agree with you that a CvS3 would be really awesome, but it does seem highly unlikely at this point in time.

I'd probably classify it in the same 'somewhat unlikely' categories as MvC3 or MM Legends 3.

Maybe if they do an online-enabled re-release of CvS2 and it sells well on XBLA and PSN there might be a good chance of them doing a CvS3 depending on that.

Some people seem to think that if they do an online-enabled re-release of MvC2, it may be a follow-up to a possible MvC3 (depending on sales and response of course).

But with all that said and done, it's probably going to be a while before anything on that end happens. Until the excitement from TvC and SFIV dies down a bit (maybe another year or two), I don't think CvS3 or MvC3 would generate enough interest from non-Capcom fans and hardcore fighting game players. Looking at all of this from a marketability standpoint and purely based on how much money it could make, it's probably not a viable project at this time.
