Also, I was half being facetious (as usual) when I said PC gaming is lame, actually, yeah I stand behind that statement, I'm not being facetious any more. It's all WoW players and basement dwellers playing FPSes, but yeah, same goes for console gamers. You're only cool if you DON'T play FPSes
Remind me what the two best selling PC games of all time are...
Oh, wait.
THE SIMS, and THE SIMS 2. Clearly - PC gaming is nothing but WOW players, and first person shooter players.
While World of Warcraft is third on the list, the fourth is - wait for it - StarCraft, a real time strategy game. Half-Life, Half-Life 2, and Counter Strike are the only first person shooters on the top ten.
Any other overly broad, generalized, and fairly asinine comments?
PC GAMING is not only fps games, it is also third persion shotter games racing games etc. I am playing all fps and 3rd person shotters(like dead space and Collaspe for exapmle) and platform games (like bolt) on pc I play rpg games too!. The only games that i dont play on pc is sims and wow because i reaaly hate them. I think fps and 3rd person shotter games way better and more enjoyable than sims and wow. WOW is a piece of crap you know it!! I also bought and finished last remant on pc( a jrpg game) Hope to see more jrpg games on pc by square enix. I have been waiting for years for a good fighting game to come on pc. So keep in mind we must SF4 PC if we want more fighting games to come on pc. I am sure EVRYONE here wants fighting games on pc right??
Once again a big thank you is deserved for making a PC version of SF4. While we all wait for further details on the game and such i cant help but wonder if Capcom considers fighters as a possible new genre for the PC market.
We'll see. Frankly, we just don't know. We're trying something out and seeing what sort of reception it gets. There haven't been any "Good" fighters made expressly for PC in probably 15 years (since SF2 Champ Edition). We're hoping we can find an audience there.
I can't comment on some of the more specific elements of your question that deals with specific titles, but let's see how SFIV does before we worry about anything that may or may not be further down the line.
THERE IT IS! THEY ANNOUNCED MARVEL VS. CAPCOM 3!!! THIS TIME I'M 40% SURE OF IT.

WHAT??!! Are you sure for that? Capcom vs marvel3 is also coming on pc?????
@ Sven - How's Captivate going for you guys? Hope all is well. Anyway back on topic.. I assumed as much that SF4 would be the testing of waters for fighters on PC. But i think that as long as you guys did your part and really made an outstanding version for us then im sure the consumer will reward you guys. In my opinion Capcom responsible for how sucessful this title will be not us the consumer. Rather or not it will hit major digital distrubution markets, how well you market the game in advertising in magizines and online ads, or press hands on sessions, and of course good optimization both on a performance level and network(online) level, all these done right things will mold towards a successful launch.
In the end just keep us PC folks in mind when you release or start pre-production of a new fighter .
you are right i am sure sf4 will be the testing waters for fighting on pc like the last remant was the testing waters for JRPG on pc! Realy how the last remnant sales on pc?? Does it sell well??? Do you think we will see more jrpg on pc from square enix in the future??
I recently brought RE4 for PC (i had one from release but keeped shrink wrapped) i saw it for like £15 and couldnt resist out of all of them the PC one is my favourite.
Be very interesting how SFIV will fair on PC.
(Not a fighting game fan or SF for that matter)

Now people, let's not argue. The point trying to be made is that we want capcom to consider releasing more games for the PC. Of course, we could sit here and tell them to all day, but the real show will come when they release SFIV, and the community gobbles it up. Patience.

It's too bad Sven couldn't answer my question regarding whether SF4 will be multi-lingual. I'd like to buy the boxed edition as soon as possible, but if my local distributor localizes it... I'll have to order the game elsewhere, and it'll be a while before it ships. Or I'll be forced to buy the Steam version.
I'm a ex-console gamer, I moved over to the PC side and would love to see a fighting game on PC.
In addition to the upcoming SF4 PC port, there's also the (near vaporware, at this point) PC Dead or Alive: Online, Guilty Gear XX #Reload, Melty Blood Act Cadenza, Scarlet Weather Rhapsody, and Big Bang Beat. They're admittedly not super high budget games with amazing graphics, but the whole lot of them are a ton of fun. While I'm not certain about BBB, having not played it a terrible lot, the other games all feature extremely high quality online multiplayer.
I saw the viedos of those fighting games i never heard anything about them.
Where can i find them?? Why do the have so bad graphics???
Capcom has a Street Fighter game online. Street Fighter Online: Mouse Generation. It is not out in english, and I do not think it will ever come out in english. It also seems very weird. High five for having Batsu in it though.
