Okay, MvC2 is back...what now?

Let's be realistic. The better MvC2's remix sells, the more motivation both companies involved will have to consider a re-pack of all the old games, or even a new game.

It's a lot more complicated to set up a new game, and get approval for which characters can be in it, and what abilities they'll use, than to re-release an old one, so why not just view this as both giving us what we want, and testing the waters at the same time?

If MvC2's remix sells well... It'll prove the interest is there, and it'll make a big splash, which would also be the ideal timing to ask about a new game or a release of a full pack of the older ones if Capcom has any such intentions.  So I guess what I'm trying to say is ...

Buy, Buy, Buy.

The deal for MvC2, upon which I was the primary negotiator, only grants us rights to port and sell digitally MvC2. Beyond that, we'll see how this title does. I have high hopes.

So if it a sucsess, capcom and marvel will extend their deal to make more games together

If it not a sucsess, gamers can pick up mvc2 and that it

Is that what you are trying to say

Well, it certainly couldn't hurt their chances at making another game together by showing them how much interest there is in the Marvel vs. Capcom property.   Be sure and pick up a copy.

I think Sven is trying to say, " buy this game u freakin fans! Otherwise you will never see a MvC3." LOl. If people want more installment than purchase this game. I am confident that MvC3 has been discussed with Marvel already. In addition, I also think the conversation went down like this:

marvel: "MvC3? Will it sell? Ok ok, here is what we will do. Since we are not confident in the future sales We will allow you to re-release mvc2 with minor adjustments as a downloadable game. On top of that if things goes well than we mgiht be interested in doing business in the future."

Capcom:" oh...I assure you the game will sell well. And because it will, we have a market and so if it does we like to ask if we can do a third one."

marvel: " if it sells like crazy then absoulutely."

Capcom: " Oh thank you." (Capcom walks away with an evil grin. Deciding on how MvC3 will develope)

You're on your computer right now, aren't you? If getting a router is really that far out of the question for whatever reason, just unhook your PC from your modem and bring your Xbox over from whatever room you're in. Plug in, download, enjoy.

You wouldn`t believe how badly it designed...

Plus, while i have a rooter to go on xbox live,it not even connected. So i have to call someone to do the damn job and that would probably take a while.

Also personnaly i dont have much reason to go on xbox live playing games online,so if i just want mvc2 and play it online,it 60 bucks for xbl gold plus the price for the specialised guys^the rooter for xbox live must be pluged inside the wall^

it more complicated than you think.

With MvC2 coming out, what is the need to even release the other previous titles (XMen:COTA, MSH, XMvsSF, MSHvsSF, MvC).  They wouldn't sell that well..

It would have been nice to throw those games out first and build us back up to MvC.  So yeah now what?  Once MvsC2 is out the only thing next is MvsC3?

Im a bit cynical.

Nice dude you're right on. People want previous versions of mvc2 I just don't know why. It's different if they demand CvS2 which they do but previous games? I also agree that the next step is MvC3. If they are going to waste efforts on bringing back old ports, they should use that resource to create a new MvC game.
