Well its anounced for psn and xbox live arcade but i wonder where its the wii version?, its not a game that couldnt be done on the wii since its just an enhanced port and not a complete "HD" remake like bionic comando, 1942 and SSF2THD.

I know this is Ask Capcom, but i would say it's probably because there is a size cap on Wiiware games.

They haven't taken that off yet? Nintendo will never catch up to PSN and XBLA with that stupid file cap in place.

How small is the WiiWare's cap?
I remember XBL used to have a harrowing cap, but thats done away with, at least.

Anyway, Nintendo can be strict with what's released on their consoles. Even if the Wii supports the 32GB SD cards, if its too much for the internal memory or a large DL, they wont allow it (as far as I know).

This most likely isnt Capcom's decision. Its prob Nintendo that is preventing it from being released.

From what I recall, there is no size cap on wiiware games, it's just suggested.

Still, this game can't be all that big. And with the SD update, there's no reason to leave it off wiiware. Capcom's just being lazy again. There's also no real reason to not put it on PC as well.

I thought I'd read a while back that file size is a restriction not a suggestion. I could be wrong though. I think that's why Wii didn't get SSF2T and Bionic Commando.

Why are you people still lamenting for a wii version

It simple, you get tvc,or you buy a next gen to get mvc2,or you dont play it and live with it.

I know you wii owners are pissed because you dont have any games, but it not a reason to lament on announcement because a game wont be released on wii.So stop it,live with it

Just because there's room to store it on an SD card, doesn't mean there's no size restriction. The application is transferred from SD to Wii internal memory to run, so games are still limited to that meager 512MB memory.

And that's the max capacity, considering most people have some game saves and VC games and the like on their Wiis, it's strategically unviable to release anything over 150MB or so. In fact, I'd have to wager the filesize limit is somewhere around that size, if not less.

Anyone who honestly thought for even a minute that MvC2 would be on Wii is delusional.

Plus they would have to alter the controls to support wii-motes controls,so because of that,it would **** up the game.Better have nothng than having crap,RIGHT

Also wii owners can already import tvc so just get that instead,it like mvc, except more balanced and refined, and our favortie marvel characters are taked by the japanesse answer to marvel^not surprising to say ken the eagle is just as fast and mobile as spider-man,oh wait, tekkaman and hulk smash a lot of stuff^and it feature a 3d engine for the graphics^the game is 2.5d if you are a dummy^

Another reason why mvc2 wont come on the wii is because capcom have the right only to re-release mvc2 on xbox live and psn, nothing else unless it become a sucsess so both want to continue their partnership.

Already answered by Sven elsewhere. They only have the rights for a downloadable release (no retail) and that the game won't fit on WiiWare.

I support a new (or remixed) Darkstalkers game!
