i think that the Wii its getting flooded of ON rail shooters that seems to be the "HARDCORE"games and the casual. I think that umbrella chronicles its ok but as many said before we expect more RE 4 like experience for the wii in a future

I agree. With these games we can just look at the graphics since we pretty much know how an on-rails game plays like. With Darkside, ppl should take notice that they're trying to improve the gameplay experience within it's limits. I'm not crazy about graphics, though. You get over them after a first run. So what makes a game a must-buy for me is if the game offers some of that good underappreciated gameplay. Regarding getting a "real" Resident Evil game... some fans would argue we haven't received one since 2005. And that includes RE5 as well. Yet these "fake" games have sold a ton. So the moral of the story is... if it sells... more will come. Just look at the RE movies. A 4th one already in production.
E3 2009 in a nutshell: Motion Control is king (and has been since 2006)
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* "Next-Gen consoles (Xbox 360 & PS3) are simply that, what came "next". That is, they're merely a continuation of what came before. You play games the same old way, using a similar control scheme. New-Gen consoles (Wii) aren't required to use new technology to be new. They can use old technology but in a NEW way. And that's the difference between Next and New gen"--Meristation |

which is exactly why i dont want this game to sell. 360 ps3 get re6 wii gets umbrella chronicles 3. and then its a cycle of wii owners getting rail shooters and the hd twins getting the real deal. 1. when capcom said they wanted to make re5 they said they wanted the "prettiest" game possible. thats it. not we want to make a great gamplay experience becouse if that was the case it would have been on wii. 2. they know this game is not great(what most gamers wanted) thats why the keep emphisising graphics. hey look what we can do with they wii. ok now take that and make an off rails game(real game). 3. like most people i baught Umbrella Chronicles becouse it was the only new Resident evil game on the wii. it may have sold a million but i wish they had a number for the returns of the game cause it was fun for like 5 minutes. also the fact that even i had to rebuy RE4 to get my resident evil fix and it sold tons more despite being a port says something. and by capcom not capitalizing on the re4 wii edition hype also shows capcoms quick cash ins with the wii and i wont support that.

Darkside chronicles still looks fun and has great graphics. I wish I had a Wii so I could get alot of the exclusive titles you guys get. I want Zach and Wiki, Tatsunoko vs Capcom and the Umbrella Chronicles series and that's just from Capcom. Wii has got it pretty good. |

Not at all. You have to realize it's Resident Evil, it can sell just by the title alone regardless of it's quality and also it's on the Wii, the number 1 dumping ground for trashy shovelware titles that sell. But lets not forget what made a Resident Evil game a Resident Evil game and it most certainly wasn't a cheap rushed on rails shooter, it was a quality survival horror game that would be remembered for years to come. You should really save those face palming pictures for yourself because your blinded by your love for capcom. UC and DC are both rush jobs. Now that we have that clear when are we going to get a real RE game? |

"wasn't a cheap rushed on rails shooter" Neither is this game. It doesn't cost a hell of a lot, but this is not something you can just throw together. Just because they are reusing assets does not mean this costs little to make. They still have to make sure the assets work in the game, and there are plenty of new assets as well. Plus they've been planning this since UC was finished. There is no way that is rushed. |

I don't see what all the hate is about. I like RE:UC and RE:DC looks to be an awesome game.
Sure, Id like a traditional RE game (remake of RE2, etc), but I don't see what's the point in turning around and hating on RE:DC just because its on rails. Yes, the Wii isn't getting a "regular" RE game besides some ports, but if you wanna play a "regular" RE game maybe its about time to buy a 360/PS3, if you don't already have? I just cant see how anyone can survive this gen without at least a Wii + 360/PS3. |

The RE team said they are looking at RE proper games on the Wii. Those just will take a while, since RE5 sucked up all their time. Ports will come first because they don't take as much time. |
