What Sven is basically saying. Buy the MvC2 DL if you wanna see MvC3 become a reality.

But why do I get the feeling you guys are already working on MvC3... in some form? I bet you'll make a announcment at Comic Con.

I do not yet own a PS3 or a 360, but I plan to purchase one of these systems solely for MVC2 re-release. Can I send you (capcom) a check now for the download????

I want this to succeed so much. I think this is the most oppertune time for MVC3, taking into consideration the tremendous popularity of the Marvel franchise, and the upcoming Avengers franchise.

Theres been a few discussions on these forums about why this isn't happening and from what I can decipher, the hold up is the licensing for marvel fighitng games.

Activision no longer has the rights (thank God), and it is up in the air as to who actually holds these licenses now.

Marvel is interested:  xbox360.ign.com/articles/893/893910p1.ht...

What is Capcom's stance on MVC3? Sven, I don't know you too well but the few posts I have read seemed decent and straightforward...give me something.

CONGRATULATION,YOU ARE THE SEVENTH MORON OF CAPCOM-UNITY ABOUT THE MARVEL LICENSE

Let me explain you since you know absolutly nothing;

-they is licenses for specific characters, the fighting license, the mmorpg license, ect

-the license for fighting games is the fighting games license. That the license that allow capcom to do fighting games with marvel characters, including the vs series

-activision own the rights for spider-man and x-men specific games. The rest of the marvel characters,it a permission thing since both have a great relationship^mua is a statement of that^

-all marvel video games license doesn`t contradict with any other,so if capcom want to make mvc3,activision and gazillon wont do jack **** because it out of the contract that capcom and marvel may do

So it simple...activision isn`t concerned at all by capcom desicion, plus they still have the right for spider-man and x-men specific games until 2017.So stop wasting my time^i sick of always re-telling because some people are morons^

I dont know you, you seem to post alot. You can probably tell by the 3 post that I am new to all this and, no I dont have a grasp of the licensing that you may have.

That being said, I read your post. You sound like a 13 yr old child in China.  I dont understand what you are saying, and thats probably because you dont have an appropriate command of the English language. Typically adults tend to refrain from making generalizations and attacks.

Having read your posts, I do not believe you to be someone with credibility. So if someone who can write in intelligible English, can post something. I would appreciate it.

If you are sick of telling people, then don't. No one asked for YOU to say anything.  Perhaps one of the mods can answer the question in a language most of us understand.

Being new here is not a excuse.

I will be honest,i know that nobody always know, but sometime it just stupid,so stupid they is two category;the stuff you dont know simply because you didn`t reshearched a lot,and the things that it take little effort to reshearch.

Plus,my english isn`t that bad for a guy who dont live in a english country, plus it not that bad overall,so if you want to still complaint, then i have nothing to say to you.

^ps,go on wikipedia^

Again, I never asked you. Ive read some of your post and you sound childish, Language aside.  I really have no reason to trust anything you have to say.

Typically when someone makes a point they try to provide evidence of thier points, and this is a generally accepted method of demonstrating credibility.

It would be nice to get a response from a Capcom mod.  I really have no interest in your perspective or your little tantrums, I'm here to find information not placate some asian kids constipated aggression.

This will be my last post addressing you.

Ignoring the last few posts, this has been a really helpful and illuminative thread.

Thanks.  For everything then and now. :)

As re the last few posts: licensing can be done any which way, so if you're not involved, you can only go by the vague reporting of others.  It's not safe to assUme much.  But it does seem like interested people are in good faith trying to make good things happen, so let's roll with that and be constructive. :D

Just make sure you and your friends purchase mvc2 for PSN and XBLA if you want the marvel VS series to have a chance of seeing a sequel in the future. i think our posts here, and our wallets are the best way to convince capcom and marvel to churn out another MvC game.
