And who just made record profits, in the middle of a worldwide recession, based off the GC with waggle? Compare with Microsoft's gaming devision, which has been moderately prifitable for just the past year, and Sony's gaming division, which has lost more than the PS2 earned them. It's kind of not effective to put down the Wii's processing when you know what it gained them and what it cost the other guys to be more advanced. |

You have to do a little bit of work, but it's possible to get other region games to run. |

The best bet would be the Twilight Hack. I did it & got Gecko OS (which allows you to play imports) before the 3.3 update, but the guys who did the hack usually keep finding ways around it. |

Could not the easiest and cheapest thing to do is just port the game over to Japanese PS3? Add some quick english mode, and let people import it? I don't see this selling like SFIV. It is a pretty nitch game. And since the PS3 lets you play imports I don't see why this isn't such a bad option. (Just sayin) |

You know what I don't get? How some people act like they are some corporate exec at Capcom saying "I love the game, but it should just say in Japan. It just won't be profitable."
First off: How do you know that? Second off: Why do you give a sh*t if it will perform well sales-wise?
I want TvC here and that's that. I don't care if anyone makes money off it or whatever- it's not my job to worry about things out of my control. I just want the game here ASAP.
Also, aren't there only 9 licenses needed to bring this game over? How do they end up in 13 companies?
Also also, does Capcom Japan have absolutely NO foresight or did they just want to make sure the game never left Japan (where 5% of the world's gamers are)? |
