So we're never gonna see Street Fighter IV for the Wii?

Instead of me people trying to import the capcom game I wanted I am finally able to get ready to play TvC without destroying my Wii. I would like to do the same by playing SF 4. Hori has the arcade sticks and Nintendo themselves have control pads that are quite capable of handling what SF4 can do. It's just a matter of what is willing to get this done Capcom with online play. If you feel the need to go cell-shaded or 2D I'd be happy either way. I just ask that you put in Dee Jay.

People made a big deal about GTAIV too. Does that mean that the 360 is kiddy?

But for completely different reasons. GTAIV wasn't controversial because it was on the 360, but rather because it was GTA, with the same old controversy that surrounds the series. The problem regarding Madworld has nothing to do with GTAIV.

"MadWorld has been the subject of controversy in the United Kingdom due to its violent subject matter. John Beyer, director of mediawatch-uk, has expressed his distaste over the game's content, stating his desire for it to not receive a rating from the BBFC, which would effectively ban it from being sold.

On August 19 2008, Sega announced that MadWorld will not be released in Germany.

Nintendo representatives have supported the game, reiterating that the Wii is a system for anybody, including adults, and that the game, like all video games, would be rated and would therefore be available for purchase to people of and above that age rating."

Concerning GTAIV -

"MADD requested ESRB to change the rating of the game from "M" for ages seventeen and up to "AO," for adults because of the player's ability to drink and drive.

Six teenagers were arrested in June 2008 after engaging in a crime spree in New Hyde Park, New York, assaulting and robbing several people, and attempting a carjacking. According to police, the teens claimed that they were "inspired" by Grand Theft Auto IV."

That's the media. The people that only pay attention to Kid games like Carnival Games and Petz. It's completley different. Anybody that actually knows about videogames would have never said that.

Oh, and does Capcom really expect this to sell well? It's a game with Japanese superheroes that no one knows.

"How many Wii titles have online co-op, even from Nintendo?" - Sven... so you want Capcom to be as mediocre as the rest of Wii developers? Figures.

They expect to sell it the gamers who've been asking for it for a year.

No one recognizes the characters. Capcom's stupid (no offense) if they are using this game to gauge the audience for 2d fighters on Wii. Nobody will buy it besides the gamers that post on forums like IGN.

I know this wasn't said by anyone, but clearly this game is not aimed at casuals. Would you really pass on a 2D VS. game because you didn't recognize some of the roster? Core gamers do exist on Wii and will buy this when it comes out. The casuals, as usual, will Petz 9 or Carnival Games 12 instead. The core will snap this up.

Tatsunoko VS Capcom is obviously not the biggest cash cow Capcom could have possibly made, and since Capcom is not stupid and knows this, it leads one to the conclusion that they're not just in this one just to rake in the biggest profit possible...

if they just wanted to cash in as much as possible, i doubt they woulda made a 2D fighter in the first place. Of course they want to maximize profits where they can and would like to see it succeed, but this game is obviously a "labor of love" and "one for the fans." Stop trying to be Capcom's financial planners, they don't need your help!

It's the nature of the internet. I've caught myself being an armchair expert once in a while, and I was wrong those times.
