IMO,  Vampire Savior (VS1, not VS2) should be remade. It's considered the best of the series.  I hear it's still being played in Japan.

If enough support is made and if this game makes enough profit, then we might be able to get a new Darkstalkers sequel in the style of Street Fighter IV or even better!!!

to me Night Warriors/Darkstalkers Revenge is the best of the series, and also still played in Japan. It has different character set, but most importantly, it doesn't have the retarded "Killer Instinct" system of two lifebars/one round.


I think it's mostly western ignorance of the series that causes people to choose Vampire Savior over Night Warriors

uh, no. You'll find that people tend to say that they like the mechanics and move sets of Nightwarriors, but also want the new characters from Vampire Saviour.

That whole ONE round, two life bars crap was one of the reasons I never got into Darkstalkers 3. Made the pace of fighting really annoying.


 


Watching vids of Night Warriors you can tell it's a smoother, more thoughtout system than in DS3.

The whole "one round, two lifebars" is what made DS/VS unque. I am surpised S-Kill hasn't chimed in on the series.

Didn't killer instinct(a game with freaks) did that two bars crap?


It's not unique, it's a bad idea which looks unique


 


 And if it's true that the Japanese prefer Night Warriors over DS3 then that should tell you something(since they're more hardcore 'bout Darkstalkers than we are).

The bad thing about 1 round, 2 life bars is that the match seems to end quicker than the traditional best 2 out of 3 round matches.
