The bad thing about 1 round, 2 life bars is that the match seems to end quicker than the traditional best 2 out of 3 round matches.

I agree.

They were probably trying to help make it less obvious how much they borrowed from the Alpha 3 engine/source.

No HD remix please! The Darkstalkers games have fantastic sprite work and the last thing we need is to crap it up with awful sprites and poor animation like SSF2T HDR. A treatment like MvC2 is getting is all these games need. Online VS on consoles would make me a very happy guy.

What? Vampire Savior came out before A3 did, and they play nothing alike. No clue where you're going with this.

Agree with both points

Did you even bother reading the first post?

"It doesn't have to be redrawn like Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, it can just be in HD and the sprites can just be recolored to look newer."

Recoloring the sprites and giving them a new palette is different from having to redraw the whole thing. When I said that it should be in HD, I meant that it should have the same HD filters like in Marvel vs. Capcom 2. Darkstalkers sprites are too old so I'm suggesting for Capcom to just recolor them and add a filter similar to this:

I'm not asking for anything too visually appealing, I just want the sprites to be refurbished and not remade.

Another definition for HD Remix is that they would also fix the game's balance issues...

If enough support is made and if this game makes enough profit, then we might be able to get a new Darkstalkers sequel in the style of Street Fighter IV or even better!!!

Hey, just saying. There are folks out there who think SSF2T HDR turned out great, visually speaking. I don't know what kind of drug abuse or vision impairment led to that, but...!

Having played the MvC2 demo, I really love the "original" mode, recolors/edits or not. So sharp! So blocky! :D

Yeah, I always liked having a refurbished version of the original than having a newer sprite. The new graphics for Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix was still an accomplishment but blending in new with old kind of looks weird. Anyway, I just want the sprites to be refurbished and not remade... The graphics filter for Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is what I'm looking forward to in a new Darkstalkers game.

I also wonder if Capcom plans on making a new character select screen for a Darkstalkers remake...
