Hey Capcom,

Just wanted to keep the question alive with this one and see what the status is of adding either more costumes or modes to the current version of SFIV.  But I have to say, a lot of us are REALLY wondering about are additional characters.  I know people like myself are constantly bombarding you guys with stuff like this, but it's just because we appreciate the work you've done in reviving this awesome series with this great new installment.  I'm just wondering if we can expect more to come especially with some of the competition (i.e. Tekken and KoF) coming out with next gen titles of their own.

But expanding on what I and others have been dicussing in the forums lately, I can understand that you guys have done some work on T-Hawk and Deejay, and for SFII fans, they would be a great to complete the classic roster. 

We've heard some info on Rolento, but not sure if you guys are really considering him or not.  But if he is, Sodom is also a character that can be considered for his gameplay and animation possibilities.  The two would put more of a "gang related" or "street" feel to the SFIV episode, but not portray them as within Final Fight as much as if you have Cody and Guy in it.  But if that isn't a concern, Cody and Guy do have a great fan following and can be considered.

SFIII fans are also clamoring for their favorites to get in as well.  But to keep in with the period of the SFIV episode and keeping with SFII fans' tastes, I'd say a limited update of four could be fine in the future.  Dudley, Ibuki, Hugo, and Elena come to mind.  Dudley has a strong following in the West and Ibuki in the East, with some of their demand overlapping, making them the anchors of the update.  Hugo just harkens 3D magic and has a possibilities with Zangief and the pair of Rolento and Sodom if included (indirect Mad Gear ties).  He has a strong following as well and a different wrestling style which translates well with current technology.  Elena is the most unique gameplay styled character in the SF series.  She's tricky and quick and could create more gameplay possibilities as El Fuerte does to SFIV.  Overall, their inclusion, though not the highest tiered foursome in SFIII, would give a hint of the SFIII world without declaring them in a way, keeping the SFII characters in the lead.  After all, this is before SFIII.  Alex, Yun, and Yang (the true forces of SFIII in my opinion) can be used to promote SFV if it's still a prequel to SFIII and if the general fan base warms up to them further.  It doesn't get rid of all your chips and gives you enough to fight again, when it comes to SFIII fans at least.  I guess, that's the key, to ease SFII fans to accept the SFIII characters.

So, in other words, don't want you guys to overwork or anything, so I'm wondering if you can do a four character update per year.

Next year's update:  T-Hawk, DeeJay, Rolento, Sodom (or something like that)

The year after:  Dudley, Ibuki, Hugo, Elena (or something like that)

Two to three years or more after that: SFV with a little more SFIII characters and less alpha...

You guys can time this in with competition release dates or something to keep SF in people's minds.  But, yeah, SFIV is already a great game, but from a fan's perspective, it can always improve.

What do you guys at Capcom think?  Is this a viable?  If not, are there modes or other types of DLC's you're working on including?

There are no current plans for DLC characters or costumes at the moment. That's all I can say at the moment, sorry.

Ibuki, Hugo, and hopefully Cody for Street Fighter IV-2!!!

I don't care if they did, I'd still buy it. SF4 is the greatest thing ever!

Just give us 6-player lobbies and it will be the best DLC ever.  I'd pay $20 for it...
