You can get a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply).
But, IMO, you shouldn't even try to play when there is a thunderstorm. I have a UPS hooked up to my TV and consoles, but its mainly for the random power flickering that can happen around here. If there was a storm brewing, I'd rather not take any chances and I unplug the unit from the wall and wait for the storm to pass. UPS's cannot protect against direct lighting strikes and you could fry it plus everything connected to it (and perhaps get electrocuted). |

The instruction manual for the PS3 (as well as other game consoles) tells you to unplug the console during thunderstorms.

ahhh man that sucks cus i live in freakin florida and it basicly rains every day or every other day and when i mean rain i mean thunderstorms so not even power stips or converters i think they r called wouldnt even save it? |

Well, A generator would fit the bill, but they are pretty noisy and you would be over-doing it a little.
