I really want to produce my own Resident Evil with Barry as the main character. It will be about his exploration and what horrors he encountered as he trys to escape the Spencer Mansion. Only one problem, I have no idea what programms were used to create the textures, characters or level design. Will anyone tell me? |

The exact programs don't matter. The most popular 3D program is 3DSmax for games, but some studios use Maya or Softimage... and Photoshop is generally the program of choice for textures, etc. (PSD file updating is awesome). But the real problem comes from mastery of character modeling, rigging, animation, lighting, etc. If you try to undertake this sequel of sorts... expect to be working on it for years time before you most definitely get a cease and decist order to which all of your efforts will be in vain. |

The programs you need to make games like REmake are very expensive and I believe with some of them you need to pay a subscription to get updates for it.
The programs aren't very easy to use either if you have no experience and It would be very hard for 1 person to create a whole game themselves. Even if you could create all the models, music, story, voice acting, programming, scripting, etc. yourself, it would take several long years of hard work. Also, you could not release the game to the public, even for free. You would be infringing Capcom's copyrights. |

i'd love to play just a 1 hr long game......with similar backgrounds and settings altered to make a different section of the mansion lol......even with crappy voice overs....call it resident Beagel......the hack side chronicles |
