dear capcom, hi my name is Joe. i was wondering if capcom and konami are partners or ever work together? because i grew up playing beat 'em up video game in the 80's. which in that era capcom and konami were kings in that category. i have my own idea for a platform/beat 'em up. but i'm not sure which company i like to be either the publisher or developer. i'm still working on it. i don't really have a name for it yet and a storyline so far i got the characters and the gameplay and game features so it will be a few more years before it gets off the ground. well thank you for your time. sincerely, -Joe:) |

Capcom and Konami are separate developers/producers. Other than 1ish occasion. And both being legal, they cannot accept fan ideas for actual projects. Too many legal issues. Capcon and Konami both appreciate your support, but they cannot legally use non-sanctioned ideas.

Of course, work hard and get a foothold into the industry somewhere, and you never know what might happen next. Also, Konami and Capcom have worked together a little. In some MegaMan Battle Network and Star Force titles, there have been crossovers with Konami's Solar Boktai/Solar Knights, and vice-versa if I'm not mistaken. Don't think it's ever gone beyond that, though. Unless you count, say, Captain N. --LBD "Nytetrayn" |

Yeah. That was Boktai (2), but I don't recall the BattleNetwork title... Which ever was released at that same time... But that was the only occasion. Boktai and BattleNetwork...

The EXE/SF series has been connected to Boktai since Mega Man Battle Network 4. Although not always in the English version due to the lack of popularity for Boktai. |

Yeah, the dude from Boktai would either make an appearance or the game would have some Boktai-related chips.

That's a funny thought actually. Who would be in a Capcom vs. Konami game (besides Snake of course :)). I don't think I've heard anyone suggest that before.
