How did this amazing animation video that was shown with the annoucement of sf4 anime prologues: Turned into this low budget animation clip that we got in the final game:
And what is the possibility of having a better quality anime prologues and endings with the next itteration of SFiv (sf4 turbo?) PS: I really think anime prologues and endings for SF4 are a FANTASTIC and GREAT idea and i am hoping Capcom will do it in every street fighter game. i just hope for the quality of the ryu vs akuma promo above

I'm also curious about this as well! What happened to these anime sequences anyway? They need to be put into the game the same way the awesome CGI trailers were at least. My hope is that they're going to be used for something awesome down the line. And it must be admitted, that the prologue and epilogue cut scenes were on the bad side for some characters, worse for others. El Fuerte anyone? But to be sure, I love the idea of the cut scenes and how they molded a story with most characters story lines intertwining to make a cannon and understandable end to the game. |

They probably didn't have enough time to really work it up to the level of that first trailer.
I also see a lack of collaboration time between Studio C and Capcom's SF team(they were busy with the game). So Studio C tried to do as much as they could, as fast as they could....
Capcom should try their lock with Japan's greater studios(there are some really good ones out there). But like always, the money issue...

I read somewhere that the thing the sf4 designers regretted most were the prologue and ending cutscenes. I sure hope they mean it...cause they really were a huge dissapointment.
Looks like they gotta buck up for the next time they try this again. |

i believe that Studio 4C is a great anime studio and they can do some great work if given enough budget. and i sure hope studio $c will be given the right budget to do anime porlogues and endings for sf 4 sequel and why not even do an anime tv series by studio 4c. I have faith in them. |

I really enjoyed the animation personally. I never saw what the whole to do was. Only things that bothered me at all were the vagueness of some of the endings and the english voice acting which couldn't be switched. Blankas ending was painful to listen to. |

Thank you Sven for clarifying that and making a stop to the rumor. Ties that bind has excellent animation by the way. i wish they did the same style with the prologues and endings. Hopefully you guys still consider having more anime cutscenes for the sequel to sf4 and maybe redo the ones from sf4 to be part of the eventual sf 4 Turbo :P All in all, i love the fact that we have anime cutscenes in the game and for that along i say THANK YOU capcom. |
