I'm thinking about upgrading my PS3 from 60GB to 160GB. Is the game Copy Protected the way SF4 is in that you can't copy the files via Flash Drives or an external HDD? I really have no problem starting SF4 over since I'm not that far into it, but I've accomplished a lot of stuff in DMC4 and I do not want to start over. If this is the case then I'll just get a 16 GB stick to free up some space. I have tried to find the answer to this question online and have had no luck. If this has been asked before and I missed it then sorry about that. Thanks!

I assume you're asking about the save game data for DMC4. In that case, I don't know honestly.

Oh I was able to copy the information via a digital camera's scan disk I had lying around, so it does work! All the same, I think I will just get a 16 GB flash drive and hold off on upgrading for now. Thanks! |

While some save are copy protected. Y ou Can still Back them up, if you do a complete system backup with a portable HD. You can't just copy them individually. So there is no reason to loose your saves when upgrade your hard drive. |

@ Sano, yea you can copy your main data, but you can't copy your network data. So you can still keep all of your items/weapons/skills/etc but u'll lose those leaderboard scores and such.... But yeah, if you want that network data, you can use the backup utility method to safely copy all of those protected files to your new hard drive if you want. It's just annoyin to wait 40min+ to back them up, then wait another 40+ minute to restore. It's your choice, just depending whether you care much about your leaderboard stuff. Hope that helps. |

Ah okay, that's what I was worried about. I have an external HDD formated to FAT32 already and a 160 gig HD. I will probably upgrade soon. Thanks a lot! |
