I hope so and if it does, I hope it just goes back to Dante. Nero and Kyrie were ok, but I think it's about time to focus mainly and Dante.

I guess it would be pretty cool to have Nero and Kyrie make a cameo appearance, but I hated Devil May Cry 4's layout of the game where you play as Nero most of the time and then the Dante parts seemed to be tacked on as you basically went through all of Nero's stages in reverse.

Sorry. But no official word will be issued outside of an official announcement.

if you guys do make another one (really hoping you do i love the series) then could you make one on wii? right now it's lacking in games like that besides no more heroes (and madworld if that counts but that plays too differently imo) and i believe the guys behind dmc could do wonders on the platform

The Wii? Why would Capcom make a Devil May Cry game on the Wii? I mean yea it sounds like it'll be pretty cool to swing the controller and stuff, but the motion sensing is in no way 1:1 so like a fraction of a second difference can mean the difference of you pulling off a combo or not.

Besides, Devil May Cry started on the PS2 and will probably stay with a "PlayStation" console...in other words PS3 and whatnot.

I mean I guess maybe Capcom could release a spin-off of sorts on the Wii, but really, I think that most of the "hardcore" gamer audience is mainly on the PS3 and or the Xbox 360. That in itself is incentive for Capcom (and any other game developer) to release "hardcore" games to those consoles.

If DMC was to hit wii it should be with Nero and with diffrent style graphics, im not punching the wii or anything but DMC4 had a huge install on the ps3 so Im sure wii couldnt run it unless maybe it was on multiple cd's and also have alot of load times in game which im sure no one wants.

But yeah DMC5 needs to star Danta and needs to be a true sequil since DMC4 came Before DMC2 -shruggs- its funny of story line wise DMC2 is when danta is the oldest, and I think he still looks the coolest as well.

So please DMC5 take place after DMC2 and let danta also get his brothers sword back, i dont like how Nero has it.

It is a bit odd that the franchise's story line is like

Devil May Cry 3 --> Devil May Cry 1 --> Devil May Cry 4 --> Devil May Cry 2

Anyway, I think that IF a Devil May Cry 5 is released (on PS3 and probably Xbox 360) they should have Dante and Nero return...basically directly after Devil May Cry 4's story.

I always thought that Nero was a reincarnation of Vergil since Vergil is supposedly dead or something. I always thought that's why Nero uses the Yamato and why Vergil's Devil Trigger gave off a blue aura. And I thought that the Devil Bringer arm was like a remmnant of Vergil or something.

If they do decide to make it I hope Hiroyuki kobayashi is not involve.Because if he is DMC5 is going to be the same as DMC4.

And what's wrong with that? Also, it won't necessarily be exactly the same. Capcom is bound to make improvements.

But as I said before, if a Devil May Cry 5 is done, it should feature Dante as the main character. A bonus run could feature Trish or Lady as a playable character. Nero and Kyrie should just make an appearance in the game.

Because Kobayashi acts like he's in charge of the series when he hasn't even played the original game despite producing it (actually it seems he had very little involvement as to what made the original great). In interviews he showed a shoddy understanding of the series. Making up a bunch of unnecessary lies, claims that were not fulfilled in-game. Possibly his biggest crime of all... he co-wrote the story.

The DMC2/3 producer, Tsuyoshi Tanaka finally understood the series as the way fans wanted it, learning from his mistakes from DMC2. I want this guy back. I don't see why someone with an unsuitable understanding of the series has to be in charge.

The game needs to be more Americanised, the series is popular because of the west and yet I keep getting the feeling from interviews that the developers behind it are more into thinking how they could make it more Japan friendly.
