Capcom promised that the Steel Battalion controller would be used for more than two games, and i have yet to see another Steel Battalion game created for a Microsoft console, so does this mean that Capcom lied to us about the controller just to get sales? Steel Battalion III would be a great game on 360, So is Capcom going to keep their promise? |

I'm surprised you held out hope.

I wasn't around when that promise was made, and although I've never heard it, I'm guessing that was indeed the plan. Unfortunately things change--many of the guys behind that title are no longer with the company, etc.--so I'd say it's pretty unlikely at this point. If it does change I'd be happy--I still have a couple of controllers myself. best, Seth

I'll add to explanation with the fact that no physical adapter alone would make it work on 360. The 360 uses encryption over its controller bus and all controllers for X360 (either first or third party), officially licensed for that reason. There would need to be chips added to the controller to accomodate the license and handle the encryption/decryption, which isn't actually possible to do retroactively.

I take it back, that Capcom promised, but they did say they where exploring other uses for the controller; If they wont make an adapter then they need to make a new super controller compatible for 360, because the game was AMAZING, and a MMO may be a big hit! |
