Any form of punishment to quitters benefits laggers and glitchers, is fine the way it is.
Even if people don't lag or glitch there are other reasons to quit and not deserve a punishment for it. I played against the guy who is ranked number 1 on Public Assembly team survivors recently. The entire match was a stat pad session.
Not only was it him and his partner against me but my own partner turned out to be a friend of his too, my partner was never shot at by the opposing team even standing right next to them often, my partner never attacked them and my partner was using things like fire nades and rockets to attack me...
Yeah, you bet your backside I quit. Given his rank score he must do this a crapload, why should so many people be forced to finish such a match or face a negative mark on their profile either through point loss or disconnection percentage? |

If you're talking about the japanese people from team survivors Capcom should reset their rank. I've watched them illegally boost for the entire time. If capcom checked my records, all my games are legit and I earned it, what laura just said I expected them of the entire time, the top three japanese people are hosting 3 in a game and the person on the opposite team kills his own partner and doesn't shoot at the other team.
Another issue that needs to be addressed, and that's cheating to boost your rank. I've never done it, my 55k points are all legit, I know the top three from Japan can't say that on team survivors |

I rarely play Survivors/Team Survivors but if you are having problems encountering these type of people, I suggest not joining that person's game as the issue you mentioned can happen but is rare. I never had any issues running into stat padders or team killers in Slayers/Team Slayers because it seems like this is more abusable in Survivors than in Slayers especially when Survivors has weapon/game balance issues. The examples in this thread illustrate quitters/disconnectors happen more often than stat padders, team killers and lagswitchers. I know that the latter issues happen but I doubt you'll run into stat padders, lagswitchers and team killers 80% of the time when playing RE5 VS especially in Slayers/Team Slayers. That is why a disconnection stat is important to have to bring some law and integrity onto RE5 multiplayer. Even if you quit a match against a stat padder Laura, I doubt it will have a material effect on your disconnection stats unless you do it often for other reasons. I may be more lenient if a person has a low disconnection percentage but if its at a high percentage, that person is getting booted from my game. If a person is going to quit a match just because he or she is upset about getting blown out by the other team, that person shouldn't be playing RE5 Versus or play any shooting games at all due to the fact that they're taking this game way too seriously. Thanks Sven for bringing these issues up with Jun. I hope we get to hear official announcements soon about the status of RE5 DLC. Sharksfan24 |

The thing that drives me nuts the most is people that do this in Team slayers. The point of team slayers is zombie combo's and executioners, but someone will always run up behind me and try to shoot me. Then i'll proceed to own them several times in a row, and then they'll dashboard. It's like they start it, and then they can't finish it, so they leave.
Last night wasn't so bad, only about 5 or 6, but thanks I love the fact that someone is looking into it. Sorry if I sounded upset when I made the first post but man those people get me so mad... |

Showing the disconnect percentages of individual players sounds like a good idea.

Thank you so much! Any improvement to the game in this regard is welcome. RE5 DLC is so much fun when people don't quit.

Firstly Jack, this is 'sumixam' from gamefaqs (gidday!) and to everyone else 'I M Maximus OZ' from XBL. Since we are talking about being qualified to comment on quitting/lag etc well I think I've played enough to rival anyone else here. I'm equal first at Exp Facility and Missile Area, top 10 everywhere else except PA and Prison where I'm top 20. This is all on XBL Team Slayers. Add all the points combined and it comes pretty close to the TC's 55k. Laura Laura what are we to do with you? This intentional lagging and glitching you speak of is a non issue in Team Slayers XBL I know that much. There is lag sure but it is purely distance related, nothing more to it and I benefit/suffer from it, the same as everyone else. Basically nobody gains any advantage from it. There is simply no good excuse to quit, ever, for anything related to the game itself. Therefore I stand by what I said, a -15 point penalty should apply to any form of diconnection. Sure, occasionally it will catch out a genuine lag out. I know I have myself having played hundreds of games but the overall amout is miniscule and you can make that -15 back as soon as the very next game. The only people this penalty will hurt are quitters, plain and simple. If you want to avoid genuinely disconnecting I suggest only joining lobbies with 2 or more bars connection. Displaying % quitting is the other way to combat quitters. Maybe it can have a system like SF4 (?) where this % reduces gradually when the player ceases disconing for a while. |
