Registered specifically to sign this thread. GGPO is by far the best net-code right now. |

Yes SFIV deserves better netcode. The current one rages me. This has to be the worst multiplayer experience I ever had. |

count me in for GGPO. Losing because of input delay is the worst! |

yes ggpo would be perfect. spectating is awesome. my only complaints about street fighter 4 is the fact that you cant make any lobbys and that the replay system sucks. i wanted to record any match any mode but you have to win and it has to be better than the previous upload. |

signed gppo has a super fluid feeling when playing online compared to the standard SFIV online since it has very little to no input delay |

I can not put into words how much this needs to be done. Here is my attempt.
I'm 32 years old and grew up playing SF2 in the arcades. Hell I first found the game with giant punch buttons from SF1. When colors came out, a few of the locals would call out 'lime green ken!' back in the day when I walked in to own a friday evening
Flashforard to today, online is my only option for competition. I'm a father and simply do not have the time to find an arcade in my state that even has a SFIV machine; nevermind all the kids that would mock grandpa |

Signed. Not having this technology for upcoming fighting games is a waste. GGPO should be the standard right now. |

I got bored of SF4 within a few months of play for many reasons, but one of the biggest is the shabby netcode that makes it a huge waste of time waiting to get a playable game. So yes, please implement GGPO for any future fighting games, including SF4. And also just as important, make it much easier to find & HOST matches filtered in various means by connection difference (ping) AND whatever skill ranking system you implement. Oh and making it a good ranking system too would help.. (which includes a system of determining quitters to maintain accuracy). There is absolutely no reason why no fighting game yet has managed this properly. VF5 is probably still the closest thing to it. The goal is simple: Let people easily play GOOD network games against SIMILARLY SKILLED opponents. This is what will really make fighting games online take off. This design goal is aka: "Just copy everything Bungie does for Halo".
Edit, I am pretty sure from my blog comments that at least Seth likes the idea! |

Please give us GGPO. This game is amazing, and we thank you for all of your hard work. But it's frustrating losing CP after winning a game because "the match didn't end properly" or whatever that message says. That happens to me all too often. Input delays are also frustrating especially when I use Guile whose combos must be well timed and extra precise. Thanks again for your hard work, but there a little more to be done. |

. Online in HD Remix is wonderful. I can visit those days of the past and relive them on today's youth. SFIV needs this system. Making a solid green connection happens once in a blue moon. 3 bars seems to be the norm and it ends in bad lag fights. This beautiful engine should not be left to lagfests due to bad netcode. Please reconsider and look into GGPO for Dash. For those of us that have been with you from the beginning, we ask that you support us, as our hands become old and brittle from years of fighting alongside you. Thanks for your time.
