August 13th MVC2 PSN release? WHY CAPCOM?!

Ray, two things:

1. I agree that Capcom's PS3-using fans have often been asked to settle for less and it's frustrating. The RE5 demo came later, we never got the online multiplayer BC demo at all, and the MvC2 demo didn't exactly help even things out. No amount of content in Home is going to help either, because that involves logging into Home, a pain I do not wish to experience ever again. :P I appreciate the PS1 classics and all, but all we really want is current-gen content at the same time and same quality. I hope everything's square with LP2 and DR2 content, but I do have my doubts. Always do.

2. You really need to settle down. I know you didn't say anything too terribly inflammatory in that post, but I mean elsewhere. Sven came out and said that there was no exchange of money with Microsoft for those release dates, and you've continued to repeat that theory long after the fact. Obviously the game's done if IGN was able to review it, so yeah, I certainly do wonder why it is we're forced to wait but there's not much we can do about it. If they were going to tell us why, I think they would have done so already. So all that's left to do is wait and buy it then if you still feel like it.

I really, REALLY do hope that in the future they'll work to prevent this kind of thing from happening, but I've said that every single time. Here's hoping PS3 users will be pleasantly surprised next time.

It's just not a big deal guys. That's it. I didn't know about the retail release and it sounds really effing cool. The PS3 is apparently waay harder to program for than the 360, and maybe that has something to do with it. Also I hear that Sony has to charge companies like Capcom per megabyte for DLC beacuse PSN is free for us. Cut 'em some slack guys. I'm still totally thankful that we get this at all. I'm gonna buy it for both systems though, so I may be a little biased.

I mean, at least we're not playing MK vs DC, right? lolol

Thats just their corporate Bsing, I honestly dont believe a word that comes outa Svens mouth anymore. They can claim that Microsoft has nothing to do with it all they want, the game is clearly finished on both sides. Instead of saying its not because of microsoft, PROVE it! Until then I don't believe crap from them. This company is not what it used to be and ive lost 99% of any respect I've ever had for them. If it wasnt money then there was NO reason for it to be held back they will make any excuse not to get on our bad side. They want our money, not our thoughts ppl.

While I can't agree with that, Ray...

They still won't comment on the retail release though! I mean, people have preordered it from GameStop, but Capcom hasn't said a word. I thought Comic Con would bring revelations as to why the delay existed but nope. Nothing. Two weeks is too long for the lack of transparency on Capcom's part. No, it wouldn't be a big deal on its own, but it's a continuation of everything Ray listed and then some. If they're not going to let us in on the process, it's pretty damn hard for us to be understanding and cut them any slack. I just hope the PSN launch goes off without a hitch, because if the PS3 version has anything wrong with it that the 360 one doesn't... yeah, that's gonna be a fun one.

That's more damning of Backbone than Capcom, but it's like I said before: this has all been growing for some time.

There is a bright side to everything, I suppose.
