Wasn't it if the SNK side decides it a go, that there might be a chance of it working out? |

That's pretty much the idea I think. If SNK gives the OK to put it up for download, I guess they might as well OK games like SVC Chaos, Capcom Vs. SNK PRO, and Capcom Vs. SNK 2 for PSN and Xbox Live...and then do a Capcom Vs. SNK 3 for the PS3 and Xbox 360. There's profits to be made with the "Vs" games being put up for download. I don't see why Marvel, Capcom, and SNK are hesitating to put them all up. Fighting games are definitely making a huge comeback with games like Guilty Gear XX Accent Core PLUS (PS2), Street Fighter IV (PS3, Xbox 360), Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 (PSN, Xbox Live), BlazBlue (PS3, Xbox 360), Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm (PS3), King of Fighters XII (PS3, Xbox 360), Samurai Shodown (Xbox 360), Tekken 6 (PS3, PSP), Soulcalibur (PSP), etc. PSN and Xbox Live releases would require Sega DreamCast or Sega Saturn (or arcade with the case of SVC Chaos) code. They could do relatively simple wide screen aspect ratio option (16:9) along with HD filter options. $14.99 is definitely a great price for each of those (especially if they plan to gradually reduce the price of download as time goes on). |

It's unfortunate that CVS2 isn't getting the love it deserves. Street Fighter is back, HD Remix is great, MVC2 never left but came out again anyway. Give us CVS2! |

Capcom,
Please consider making this game available for the gaming networks. I'm more than sure the cost/benefit data will show that you would do very well. As the only thing new that I can see being done would be new sprites, which can be done by your artists in a couple of days. The rest of the work is porting the game to be played on the two systems and then making it available to download. The rest would be minor polishing. But then again, I'm not a videogame developer, I'm currently getting going through college now to obtain it though. I loved this game ever since it came out, and this is the first time that I am writing to a developer/publisher asking them to release a title. I loved it way more than the unbalanced MvC2 (at least its my opinion that it was unbalanced.) Either way, I think it would be a great fan service to the community if you released this game over the networks. I can only hope that this thread, among the many others out there in Internet-Land help you to make the decision to release it. Thanks for reading, and good luck. Kind Regards, Phillip |
