What happens is that when Ryu gets to the village, he wants to buy "How to beat Karateka.", but Bob Saget bought the last copy. Ryu is about to pound him into the ground, but Bob Saget lies and tells him that this big scary guy with an eyepatch took it! And that's how Sagat got that scar on his chest.
I support a classic RE Franchise Reboot. Just say "no" to online multiplayer!

Once upon a time, that's basically what the Final Fight series was. I'd be all in favor of a Final Fight-esque Street fighter action game, myself. With Ruy and Ken co-op! And Chun-Li and Sakura bonus characters for good measure! At the very least, I bet they could made that a relatively cheap downloadable affair on XBLA and PSN. Also good: A Street Fighter action game that plays like God Hand. ...or just a new God Hand. Whichever, really. |

Devil May Cryu. :P I don't know, I love that genre of game, but putting the SF characters in there might seem a little forced. Final Fight seems like it would be a better fit. Then just have a couple of SF cameos. |

It can certainly work. I think the problem with many of you guys is that you're interpreting "Devil May Cry gameplay" as the same crazy OTT like stuff but with Ryu. I don't think that's the intention at all. If any of you guys played DMC3 you can already get a sense of how it could be done if you used Dante's Beowulf gauntlets which contains 'Street Fighter' moves, the standard shoryuken (you can also do a Shinryuken like version if you charge it), there's ryu's super hurricane kick, Chun Li's lightning kicks and you can even throw fireballs. Now these are just the move sets for one out of Dante's 5 weapons and they're very well done considering that it is only a part of Dante's entire set of moves. Now imagine a game focused entirely on hand to hand combat with DMC like responsive, welll animated and refined moves and deep gameplay (minus the OTT), animating the moves so that it looks good while being performed, while keeping it fairly grounded in a bit of realism like SF should be, could be a pretty awesome game. |
