According to the IGN review of the PC version of RE5, Versus mode isn't included. Why is this? Very disappointing if true. |

Well according to the IGN review, Capcom focused on the new Mercs Mode as the Versus Mode wasn't very popular with the consoles. Though I would expect Versus to come out as DLC sooner or later.

I guess Capcom outmanouvered themselves somehow: On the one hand it won't look too good if they give Versus-mode for free to PC-Gamers, still charging console-gamers. And if they drop charges for consoles-gamers now as well, all who payed will be pretty miffed. On the other hand, it's unlikely that many of the PC-Gamer community will pay for an extra-mode... so I think they don't know what to do about it, yet. |

It is a pity, I was hoping that It came with the game. Probably we have to pay for it. Because Microsoft encourage developer to realease DLC and charge for it. This is the case of L4D DLC |

I think the better question would be "why would PC gamers want to play versus mode?" Have you seen it in action? It's a joke compared to pretty much every other player versus player offering that has been on the PC since the advent of the Doom death match in 1993.
wait, what?
