Did Capcom ever consider if Mega Man gets retold in a more serious, realistic, darker tone it would reinvent itself? I love the classic blue bomber BUT..... ....iF Dr. Light was a scientist who regretted his life's work and how he sold his work to the highest bidder (reason why the world is controlled and over run my rouge robots = the 12 bosses). One day Dr. Light in order to ease his guilt gave a second chance to a dying young man (the blue bomber) he gave the name "MEGA MAN". The game would take place in a more realistic environment (a futuristic city) where a love interest, a good friend, betrayal and the loss of Dr. Light is implemented into the game. What you think? |

Because not everything needs a dark/serious tone to be fun.
I support a classic RE Franchise Reboot. Just say "no" to online multiplayer!

They've already tried 20 versions of the colorful, kiddy, light fun, gameplay. Time to give the blue bomber some life! |

I liken this line of thinking to: "I've eaten edible food for breakfast for 30 years. Today I think I'll eat live hornets instead , just because I can! Also, Shadow the Hedgehog was the best Sonic series game ever!" Here's another reminder of what happens when a colorful vibrant gaming series delves into "darker", "edgier" territory. You get festering piles of crap like this.
But then again, you DO think Resident Evil Fighter 2 Alpha turbo HD Hyper Editon EX is a great idea...

Besides, Mega Man X (and Mega Man Zero) is fairly dark when you think about it.
"As Mr. Sloan always says, there is no 'I' in team, but there is an 'I' in pie. And there's an 'I' in meat pie. Anagram of meat is team... I don't know what he's talking about."

Current day video games need more color, not less. Take your realism and keep it to yourself, I get plenty of it myself every time I leave my house, I play games for a bit of variety... which, in today's world of METAL GEARS OF WAR RESISTANCE THEFT AUTO 7 is increasingly difficult.
wait, what?

I gotta voice a negative on this as well. First thing I thought of was that Bomberman remake as well. |

John that's a dumb idea, you must have been looking at the megaman box art for 1, 2, or 9 when coming up with this. There is already a few dark tone Megaman games called Megaman X and Megaman ZERO series.
Bomberman Zero.... Ugh, I'm gonna be sick again because I heard the name of that fake bomberman game.
Felicia is constantly checking her mail for Ono-san's new darkstalkers invitation.
Support Darkstalkers Chronicle for PS3/360 by voting on my blog www.capcom-unity.com/darkstalkers In a few cases, I've put my own reputation within the company on the line to make some of these happen (MvC2 being one example).-Christian Svensson Do it for Darkstalkers Sven or is Capcom too scared to release Darkstalkers PSN chuckman315 |

It doesn't need to
Just like Gears of War doesn't need to go "brighter"
