Answer them or face the mustard of your doom.

I was wondering what challenges there are in making a game for a simultaneous global release when it comes to translating languages?

How do Capcom or companies in general handle this? Do you always wait for a primary version to be completed first and then work on other language versions?

Is there any way to integrate translators into the dev team to do the translation as the actual game is being worked on, therefore making global release dates far tighter?

For an english speaking country such as the UK, why not just use the US english version and put it out in PAL instead of making UK residents wait for the game to be translated into 20 other European languages?

Well, I can answer the question of releasing US versions of the game in the UK.

Games aren't simply translated, but localized as well. Certain things either don't translate, or when translated, don't make sense to certain people. Other countries have their own phrases & sayings. Simply translating a game can lose the meaning of certain parts of dialogue. The localization team works to make sure that any references, sayings, jokes, etc. make sense to everyone in their region & that nothing gets lost.
