It would have to be the Super Famicom version. They haven't done a handheld on the VC yet.

Yes, it'd be the Super Famicon version. You know what though, I'd prefer that version definitely. Isn't it zoomed out more compared to the GBA release?

The resolution had to be changed. What works on a T.V. doesnt work for the better on a Handheld. THey had to 'zoom' it in in order to get the characters and enviornment all workable on a GBA screen.

I'm aware of the reason's of why they would do it, just wasn't sure if I was remembering the right game that got that "zoom" treatment.

Yeah, I'm suggesting the Super Famicom version, not the GBA. The GBA version, on top of the "zoomed" visuals, had pretty crappy audio, not to mention the colors were a little more dull. I'd just love to see the game released *properly* over here. The "Remix" idea was simply that it might attract more attention, from a business standpoint. The biggest draw of it, though, is that from what I've heard (which miight or might not be true), Nintendo decides which VC releases it wants. Whereas if Capcom decided to push a WiiWare title, it puts the ball a little more in their court. |

Well, if it is a WiiWare title, then it is all new. No further need of the original outside of foundation. So neither SNES nor GBA version applies.
Plus, in that regard, WiiWare is the better approach over controlling it more. Since as stated VC is Nintendo service, not other companies.

I think the SFC version with English translations and maybe title logo graphics from the GBA version would be just fine... Heck, nevermind the logo. Just swap the text and I'm good to roll. --LBD "Nytetrayn" |

Been awhile since this topic got any attention, lol. I stil think it'd be great if the graphics were given "an extra coat of paint", along with a bit more polish all-around. Higher-resolution sprites, more vibrant colors, and perhaps a bit more Mega Man-friendly level design, and round it out with a few more meaningful Extra's. Granted, it obviously doesn't carry the kind of following that SF2 did. But in its favor, it's also a game that, for most of the world, was never playable in its true form. |
