They are all on PC, if you count the pathetic port of RE 4 as on PC. Do you want them on Steam? I do although I would appreciate Capcom releasing a patch to add Mouse Support for RE4.

I don't understand why people get so much enjoyment out of playing games with a mouse and keyboard. Oh well.

For the same reason some people prefer thumbsticks to a keyboard+mouse for first person shooters.

Personal preference.

"Whose motorcycle is this?"
"It's a chopper, baby."
"Whose chopper is this?"
"It's Wesker's."
"Who's Wesker?"
"Wesker's dead, baby. Weskers's dead"

Yes, thank you, I pretty much assumed that.

1: Get your facts straight!!!! RE4 is awesome on PC. Best version by far download the mods and apply the HDR patch. Nothing wrong with it whatsoever. Even After the official Capcom 1.1 patch its much better than the console versions and the fan created mods take it onto a new level. Even today RE4 with HDR & highres textures looks close to RE5 on PC!

2: No I do not want RE1-4 on PC as I am loyal enough to have already bought all these on PC on release (as well as other platforms like PS1+PS2) and RE1-3 are pretty dated nowadays even with the basic 3D graphics VFX they shipped with back in the day so unless Capcom can justify HD remasters like Lucasarts are now doing with their back catalog I would rather Capcom put all their efforts into future PC & 360 products.

StuntmanSnake,

Because some of us like lots of options and would rather not be inhibited by sluggish controls.  For shooting games, gamepads have lead to throwbacks like auto-aim. I'd rather aim on my own merrits, not rely on a help, since the input can't keep up with how fast I can react.  I also much prefer an AI that doesn't delay itselft inorder to give me time to shoot it.

Gamepads are good for some games, that's why I have two, but they're not an end all solution for all types of games.

PC gamers are generally controller whores -- at least the ones I know.  Along with the mentioned gamepads, I also own a G25, and instead of a keyboard I use a speedpad.  I'd rather not be confined to one type of control, let alone an input that really isn't well suited for that game -- espeically if compromises are needed in order to make it work with that setup.

Anyways, I grew up with games that generally supported a wide array of inputs.  Now days, I'm lucky if the game properly supports a mouse, let alone Hotas Cougar.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Paul,

I bought RE4 PC, because I really enjoyed the Wii version, and after playing Dead Space with its tacked on mouse-support, I had hopes that the PC verison's mouse-mod for RE4 I read about, would at least be as good as DS, but it wasn't even really workable.

I'm a control freak, so even with the improved visuals on my PC, I refuse to play this game as is.  I would love for a true mouse patch from Capcom and would gladly buy RE4 again on STEAM, if it were updated with mouse support -- I'd assume they would make the patch available for the reatail CD though, if we were ever so lucky.

LoL i got this idea yesterday about Resi 1-3 or Resi 1-4 pack which CAPCOM should release on STEAM, i think if the price will be interesting, gamers would buy this classic.

It needs only add some HW support for Resi 1-3, Vista/ Win 7 support and it will be great.

I think it would be very popular on Steam now that Resident Evil 5 has been released.

So now would Capcom like to comment?

How about this question? I am correct that Resident Evil 1-4 are on PC right?
