Why isn't LIVE actors/action scenes used in Resident Evil games?

Probably the only complaint about the Resident Evil 1 Remake was the different intro Capcom decided to use.

Why was the decision made?

Is it more costly for the LIVE ACTORS as oppose to the computer generated action sequence?

That B-Movie Intro was killer back in 1996 and I hope Capcom does it again.

A whole game should be given the movies (cut scenes) to tell a Resident Evil story.

If it's well received by fans, produce an exclusive Capcom movie.

B-Movies do cost cheap to make.

The B movie style opening back for the original RE was the best thing I've ever seen!!!
Still makes me laugh till this day.

"NO!!!! DON'T GO!!!"

Ryu: "That's fine. Perhaps I can learn something worthwhile from your discipline. However, I won't lose. Let me show you the meaning of true strength."

I think it was an AMAZING job they did on that opening!

Total B-MOVIE classic!

Capcom has to do it again!

They have to!

I think they want to go a more serious route story wise then what end up happening with RE 1 on PSX. That was cheesy to the core.

Although, it may be ingame graphics, but real actors are used for character movement and voice acting in the game. Just watch the special edition disc if you bought the collectors edition of resident evil 5. It shows how all the character capture movement and acting was done. Very impressive stuff.

I get the feeling that the change is because laughter was probably not the desired result.

Yuck, I hate live-action. Hope there isn't anymore games that use it.

CG/Cartoons > Live-Action.

Depends on the game, and how it's used.

Command and Conqueror uses it well.

I support a classic RE Franchise Reboot. Just say "no" to online multiplayer!
