Actually, let me rephrase my question. Why not just make a 13-26 episode series based on SFIV and look into a possible sequel (movie, OVA, series) based on Super if it's successful.

That said, no SF animé or movie production has even been canonical, why not keep it that way so that the people behind the anime can have a little freedom to be creative.

While that statement is generally true, various manga, comics and anime interpretations have had their ideas adapted for Street Fighter canon such as the idea of an Evil Ryu. That came straight from a manga that was written before Street Fighter Alpha ever came out.

That's why don't tie the anime down to the game's canon, so that the writers can be creative and any good additions could be added to canon later on.

I support a new (or remixed) Darkstalkers game!

But I think the state of the Street Fighter anime franchise isn't too shabby. Between Generations and the Ties That Bind, they have kept things moving even when there wasn't a surge of popularity for the franchise.

True, that's why i  believe the anime will be HUGE since Street Fighter is very popular again. And Capcom should act on this ASAP.

Well, Group TAC is responsible for three of the five anime iterations of Street Fighter (Street Fighter II The Animated Movie, Street Fighter IIV and Street Fighter Generations). Perhaps it is time to take to their message boards and see if they can be pursaded. I certainly approve of more Street Fighter in anime form.

see that is something i would love to hear capcom explain: how do deals like that happen?

will the studio approach capcom or does capcom ask the studio to make new anime.

Group tac did AN OUTSTANDING job with SF2 animated movie. too bad 15 years later no sf anime has even come close to the awesomeness of the first anime movie.

Anime series would be crazy....Street Fighter style though!

Ryu: "That's fine. Perhaps I can learn something worthwhile from your discipline. However, I won't lose. Let me show you the meaning of true strength."

I really like the Street Fighter Round One Digital Comic. They need to hurry and finish up those.

Truest Strike...that is such an awesome find that you deserve to be in the Unity Spotlight. Impressive sleuth work indeed. I am usually not a fan of simple animation, static backgrounds and non-detailed illustrations, but in this case, it made everything seem more sleek. I wouldn't mind seeing that develop into something more.

Althought this gif animation is very similar to Naruto (me no likey), something about it makes it shine.

I would also love a Street Fighter anime as well, and although it possibly not might have at any moment, a SFIII story would be lovely.

You are a genius Struder ! I also had this kind of idea on my mind for a long time. It sounds risky but if executed it could be very popular. Telling the canon Story is an awesome idea because it would make fans happy.

The Street fighter has what it takes to be popular like anime like One Piece.

- Charismatic characters.

- Akuma or Gouki could be the equivalent of Itachi of Naruto. The iconic villain that the main character  has to defeat.

- Dan Hibiki could be a great comic relief that reminds me a lot of Gai sensei. They have an over the top atitude, the bad ass outfit which is beyond ridiculous.

I am starting  to think that the Naruto universe was heavely inspired by Street fighter alpha unverse. Akuma's speech to Ryu reminds me a lot of Itachi's speech to Sasuke. Bison the tyrant wants to take control of Ryu's body to dominate the universe is similar to Orochimaru who wishes to take Sasuke's body for the same reasons. For those who follow Naruto recently, everyone knows that Sakura vs Karin will happen. That reminds me of Sakura and Karin rivalry in Alpha 3. That is not a coincidence.

By the way Struder, what do you think of including an oav or a mini serie about Rival Schools after the alpha 2 arc. Then, an oav on Rival Schools 2. The rival school has an awesome cast with a lot of great characters. They deserve to be part of the Street fighter universe.

I think that a great idea the Third Strike saga would be:

-  Gill executes his plan to rebuild the world. He organizes a tournament to determine definetly who will survive in his world. It is up to Ryu to challenge Gill to see who is the real saviour. It is a great idea to make every fighters come back.

- Of course the final showdown between Ryu vs Akuma would be an epic way to conclude the serie. " Akuma in the sky, Ryu on the earth!!! Who wields the true fist ?" Epic episode title that comes from the ryu final manga.
